The drive coupling is metal, which is the part that decides how long a blender survives a busy bar.

Why operators choose the BBN2255

Metal drive coupling — the coupling is where a bar blender fails. A metal one survives the shock loading of ice in a way a moulded plastic coupling does not, and it is the single best predictor of how long a blender lasts behind a busy bar.

Wave-action jug — the jug profile folds the contents back down into the blade instead of letting them ride up the wall. That is what removes the need to stop and scrape, and what makes consecutive drinks come out the same.

Triple lid seal and a lid safety sensor — the seal is what keeps a full jar of frozen fruit inside the jar, and the sensor stops the machine running without it. A removable jar pad and sure-grip feet make the rest of it cleanable and stable.

1.6 peak HP motor — the headline figure, and the one that decides whether it crushes ice or merely stirs it. Rated for continuous commercial duty, not intermittent use.

Warranty covers the machine and the jug differently — 24 months back to base on the blender, but only 3 months on the jug. The jug is treated as a wear part - worth knowing before you plan the replacement cycle.
