The Anvil CGA0008 is an 8-bird chicken rotisserie running two birds per basket across four baskets, in full stainless steel with glass at both the front and the rear. That second pane is the commercial point: a rotisserie visible from both sides works as a point-of-sale display through a servery as well as a cooking appliance. It has an internal light, a timer and thermostatic heating control, and needs a 15 A supply.

Why operators choose the ICE-CGA0008

  • Glass front AND rear — most rotisseries are viewable from one side. Two panes means it can sit in a servery opening and sell to the customer while the staff side stays accessible
  • 8 birds, 2 per basket — four baskets of two. Load and unload by basket rather than bird by bird
  • Rotate the chickens halfway through the cycle — the manufacturer's own instruction for even cooking. It is a manual step, so build it into the process - the machine does not do it for you
  • Timer fitted for controlled operation — set the cycle rather than watching the clock, which matters when the operator is also serving
  • Thermostatically controlled heating — the cabinet holds its set temperature rather than running at one output
  • Internal light — a lit rotisserie sells; an unlit one just cooks. On a point-of-sale unit that is the whole difference
  • Full stainless steel construction — the correct material for an appliance running hot with fat all day
  • 15 A supply required — 2.7 kW is above what a standard 10 A point will carry - plan for an electrician

Venue suitability

The CGA0008 suits butchers, delis, supermarkets, takeaways and clubs selling hot chicken. The double glazing front and rear is what makes it a servery unit rather than a back-of-house one — site it where the customer can see it and it earns its keep twice.

Installation & delivery

It needs a 15 A outlet. At 2.7 kW it draws about 11.3 A, above what a standard 10 A point carries, so an electrician will need to fit one if you do not have it. Note the dimensions are recorded width x height x depth: 740 mm wide, 590 mm tall, 570 mm deep. If you are siting it in a servery opening to use the rear glass, confirm the aperture and that both faces stay accessible for cleaning. It needs extraction appropriate to roasting — involve your mechanical contractor. Our data records no weight.

Frequently asked questions

Q: How many chickens does it hold?

Eight, loaded two per basket across four baskets. Loading by basket is faster than spitting birds individually and makes the changeover between batches quicker.

Q: Does it cook evenly on its own?

Not entirely - the manufacturer instructs you to rotate the chickens halfway through the cooking cycle to ensure even cooking. That is a manual step and it needs to be part of your process. We would rather tell you that than let you discover it on the first batch.

Q: What electrical supply does it need?

A 15 amp outlet. At 2.7 kW it draws roughly 11.3 A, which is more than a standard 10 A power point carries. Fitting a 15 A point is a small electrician's job, but it needs doing before delivery.

Q: Why does the rear glass matter?

It lets the unit sit in a servery opening and be seen from the customer side while staff work from the back. A rotisserie that customers can watch sells considerably more than one hidden in the kitchen - that is why the glazing and the internal light are specified together.

Q: Does it need extraction?

Roasting eight birds produces heat and fat-laden vapour, so yes, plan for extraction appropriate to the appliance. The specifics depend on your premises - have your mechanical contractor assess it.

Q: What warranty does the ICE-CGA0008 come with?

Covered for 12 months. Our records state the duration but not whether labour is included, so confirm the exact cover with our team before ordering rather than assuming it. Terms vary by product — see our warranty information page for full details.
