The Anvil ICK3501 is a commercial induction cooker running 3.5 kW from a 15 amp supply, with a temperature range of 60 to 240 °C and electronic overheat protection. Induction heats the pan rather than the air, so it requires magnetic-based cookware.

Why operators choose the ICE-ICK3501

  • Requires magnetic-based pots — induction works by inducing current in the pan itself, so aluminium and copper without a magnetic base will not heat. Test your existing pans with a magnet before ordering
  • 60 to 240 °C — a working range from holding through to searing
  • Electronic overheat protection — cuts the unit before the electronics cook, which is the common failure on induction under a busy pass
  • 3.5 kW on a 15 amp supply — above a standard outlet, so it needs a 15 amp point
  • Drop-in installation — it sits into the counter rather than on it, so the counter cut-out is the measurement that matters and it is not one our data records
  • Controls can go above or below the counter — touch panel and control knob, so the operator interface can sit where the bench layout allows
  • Stainless body and frame with a metal bottom — built to be enclosed in joinery
  • 3.5 kW — the more powerful of the two Anvil induction units

Venue suitability

Induction suits kitchens that want cooking power without the heat load and ventilation burden of gas - front-of-house cooking, demo kitchens, tight spaces and any site where a gas connection is impractical. This is the drop-in unit, for kitchens building induction into the bench.

Installation & delivery

Needs a 15 amp supply at 3.5 kW. This is a drop-in unit — it sets into the counter, so plan joinery around it. Our data records it as 360 mm wide and 380 mm deep, and the recorded height figure is corrupt (it reads 125330 mm), so we have not published a height and we have not guessed one. The counter cut-out size is not recorded either. Ask us and we will confirm both with the supplier before you cut. Induction needs airflow below the bench.

Warranty terms are per product — see our warranty information page.

Frequently asked questions

Q: What are the dimensions?

360 mm wide and 380 mm deep. The height is not usable: our record reads 125330 mm, which is 125 metres, so it is plainly corrupt and we are not going to guess what it should be. On a drop-in unit the depth below the counter is what decides whether it fits your joinery, so contact us for that figure before you cut anything and we will confirm it with the supplier.

Q: Can I use my existing pans?

Only magnetic-based ones. Test the base with a fridge magnet - if it sticks, the pan will work on induction. Plain aluminium and copper will not.

Q: Can I plug it into a normal outlet?

No. At 3.5 kW it needs a 15 amp supply.

Q: What is the difference between this and the benchtop ICK3500?

This one is built into the counter and the ICK3500 sits on it. This is also slightly more powerful at 3.5 kW against 3.1 kW, and adds a stainless body and frame plus the option of mounting the controls below the counter. Both run 60 to 240 C on a 15 amp supply.

Q: Where do the controls go?

Either above or below the counter - it ships with a touch panel and a control knob and the source states both mounting positions. Decide before installation, because it changes the joinery.
