The Benchstar EIC350M-1 is a single-zone benchtop induction plate for fast, controllable, flame-free cooking. A heat-resistant ceramic glass hob and single-knob control deliver power adjustable from 500 W to 3,500 W, in an AISI 201 stainless steel body. Induction transfers energy directly into the pan, so the surface stays cooler, response is near-instant and there is no wasted radiant heat — useful where a gas connection is not practical. It needs a 15 A outlet, not a standard 10 A one.
Why operators choose the EIC350M-1
- Power adjustable 500-3,500 W — one plate covers a gentle sauce hold through to a hard sear, on a single knob
- Heat-resistant ceramic glass hob — wipes down flat with no burner to work around, and takes the knocks of a service bench
- Near-instant response — energy goes into the pan rather than the air, so the plate reacts like gas without the flame
- Suits pans with a 120-260 mm base — covers the practical range of commercial pans and pots for a single-zone plate
- Works with steel and cast iron cookware — standard commercial ferrous pans work without buying a dedicated set
- Cooler surface, no radiant heat — front-of-house and demo use become viable where an open flame is not
- AISI 201 stainless steel body — stands up to a commercial cleaning routine on a service bench
- 339 mm footprint at 4.3 kg — light and small enough to move to a function, a buffet line or a demo station

Venue suitability
The EIC350M-1 suits cafes, restaurants, function venues, demo kitchens, buffets and front-of-house service stations, and any tight fit-out where running gas is impractical. The one thing to confirm before ordering is the 15 A supply.

Installation & delivery
It draws its power through a 15 A outlet, not a standard 10 A one. The 15 A plug has a larger earth pin and will not fit a normal socket, so confirm a 15 A circuit is available at the install position or budget for an electrician to add one. Allow 339 mm of bench with clearance around the unit for ventilation, and keep the ceramic hob clear of impact from heavy pans being dropped onto it. Dispatched from our Sydney HQ with partner warehouses in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth for faster delivery Australia-wide. Backed by a 1-year parts and labour warranty — see our warranty information page for full terms.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Will the EIC350M-1 run from a normal power point? A: No. It needs a 15A outlet. A 15A plug has a larger earth pin and will not fit a standard 10A socket, so confirm a 15A circuit is available or budget for an electrician to add one.
Q: What cookware does it work with? A: Ferrous cookware — steel and cast iron — with a base diameter between 120 and 260mm. Aluminium and copper pans without a ferrous base will not heat on induction.
Q: How low can the power be set? A: Down to 500W, and up to 3,500W, on a single knob. That range covers holding a sauce through to searing.
Q: Why choose induction over a gas burner? A: Energy transfers straight into the pan, so response is near-instant, the surrounding surface stays cooler and there is no wasted radiant heat. It also removes the need for a gas connection, which matters in tight or front-of-house fit-outs.
Q: Is it suitable for front-of-house use? A: Yes. The flat ceramic glass hob and absence of an open flame make it practical for demo kitchens, buffets and service stations where a gas burner would not be appropriate.
Q: What warranty applies? A: One year parts and labour.
