The Benchstar PW-RT/900/1E is a 900 mm stainless steel pie warmer and hot food display with three adjustable display shelves and sliding doors at both the front and the rear, so staff restock from behind while customers browse the front. Thermostatic control holds 30 to 80C on an easy-read gauge, a humidity water reservoir keeps pastry from drying out, and halogen down lights with an illuminated lightbox make the display sell. It runs at 1.84 kW from a standard 10 A outlet.
Why operators choose the PW-RT/900/1E
- Front and rear sliding doors — restock from the staff side while customers browse the front — no reaching over the display
- Three adjustable display shelves — reconfigure the levels for pies, sausage rolls or larger hot food as the menu changes
- Humidity water reservoir — holds moisture in the cabinet so pastry stays edible through a long hold instead of drying out
- Thermostatic control, 30 to 80C — a lower, gentler holding band than the larger units in this range, with an accurate gauge
- Advertising lightbox — the top panel becomes illuminated signage, so the unit sells as well as holds
- Halogen down lights — food is lit from above so it still looks worth buying late in the day
- Edge-protected glass doors on metal runners — the glass takes counter knocks and the doors keep running smoothly
- Easy-clean stainless steel interior — wipes out at close and stands up to daily commercial cleaning

Venue suitability
The PW-RT/900/1E suits bakeries, service stations, cafes, canteens, clubs and takeaway shops holding hot pies and savouries across a trading day. At 900 mm it sits between the compact 380 mm and the 1200 mm units, and unlike the largest model it runs from a standard 10 A outlet.

Installation & delivery
It runs on a standard 240 V supply through a normal 10 A power outlet, so no dedicated circuit and no hard-wiring are needed. Allow 900 x 440 mm of counter with clearance to slide the glass doors on both the front and rear, and keep the humidity reservoir reachable for filling. At 60 kg it is a two-person lift into position. Dispatched from our Sydney HQ with partner warehouses in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth for faster delivery Australia-wide. Backed by a 1-year parts and labour warranty — see our warranty information page for full terms.
Frequently asked questions
Q: How many shelves does the PW-RT/900/1E have? A: Three adjustable display shelves. A pie capacity is not recorded in our product data for this model — contact our team if you need a figure for a specific product size.
Q: Does it need a special power outlet? A: No. It runs at 1.84kW through a standard 10A outlet, unlike the 1200mm PW-RT/1200/1E which needs a 15A supply.
Q: Can it be served from both sides? A: Yes. It has sliding doors at both the front and the rear, so staff can restock from behind while the front faces customers.
Q: What temperature does it hold? A: 30 to 80C on thermostatic control with an easy-read gauge. Note this is a lower band than the 380mm and 1200mm units in this range, which hold up to 110C.
Q: What stops the pastry drying out? A: A humidity water reservoir holds moisture inside the cabinet, which is what keeps pastry edible through a long hold.
Q: What warranty applies? A: One year parts and labour.
