The Benchstar IW350 is a commercial 3.5 kW induction wok for Asian, fusion and high-output kitchens that need fast, controllable wok heat without gas. A 260 mm wok ring, touch-control LED display, 10 power levels from 500 to 3,500 W, a 60-240C temperature range and a 0-180 minute timer make it a precise alternative to a gas wok burner, with electronic overheat protection built in. It runs on a 15 A single-phase supply.
Why operators choose the IW350
- 3.5 kW induction with instant on/off response — wok-burner-class output that stops the moment you turn it down, which gas cannot do
- 10 power levels from 500 to 3,500 W — fine control from a gentle simmer to flat-out stir-fry, set by number rather than by eye
- 260 mm wok ring — sized for standard commercial round-bottom carbon steel woks
- Temperature range 60-240C — covers warming, sauteing, deep-frying and searing from one unit
- 0-180 minute LED timer — set-and-forget sauces, stocks and braises rather than watching the clock
- No gas connection required — no gasfitter, no flue considerations for the appliance itself, and no open flame in a tight fit-out
- Electronic overheat protection — built-in safety on a high-output appliance run hard all service
- Stainless steel body at 6 kg — commercial durability in a unit one person can reposition

Venue suitability
The IW350 suits Asian and fusion restaurants, food courts, hotels and caterers wanting wok output where a gas connection is impractical or unavailable — and front-of-house or demo settings where an open flame is not an option. Confirm a 15 A supply and check your wok against the 260 mm ring before ordering.

Installation & delivery
It draws its power through a 15 A outlet, not a standard 10 A one. The 15 A plug has a larger earth pin and will not fit a normal socket, so confirm a 15 A circuit is available at the install position or budget for an electrician to add one. It is a benchtop unit with no gas connection and no plumbing. Allow 340 x 430 mm of bench with clearance around it for ventilation, and confirm your wok seats correctly on the 260 mm ring before service. Dispatched from our Sydney HQ with partner warehouses in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth for faster delivery Australia-wide. Backed by a 12-month return-to-base warranty — the unit is returned for service rather than attended on site. See our warranty information page for full terms.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Will the IW350 run from a normal power point? A: No. At 3.5kW it needs a 15A outlet. A 15A plug has a larger earth pin and will not fit a standard 10A socket, so confirm a 15A circuit is available or budget for an electrician to add one.
Q: What size wok does it take? A: The ring is 260mm and Benchstar specifies it for standard commercial round-bottom carbon steel woks. Measure your wok against that figure before ordering, and contact our team if you are matching a specific accessory wok — some of our wok accessories record a different ring size, so it is worth confirming the pairing rather than assuming.
Q: How controllable is it compared with a gas burner? A: Ten power levels from 500 to 3,500W, set by number, and the heat stops the instant you turn it down. Gas gives you feel; induction gives you repeatability and instant response.
Q: Does it need a gas connection or a flue? A: No gas connection is required for the appliance. Extraction requirements for your kitchen are a matter for your local regulations and fit-out, but there is no open flame from this unit.
Q: What does the timer do? A: It runs from 0 to 180 minutes on an LED display, which suits sauces, stocks and braises that need a set duration rather than supervision.
Q: What warranty applies? A: Twelve months, return to base. The unit is returned for service rather than a technician attending on site — reasonable on a benchtop appliance you can transport, but worth factoring into downtime planning.
