The Benchstar AT-937E is the largest salamander griller in this Benchstar line, at 800 mm wide and 28 kg, built for kitchens finishing at volume. A durable stainless steel element runs on an infinite switch with a continuous function, with rack support on both sides and a supplied wiring grid. Unlike its smaller siblings it is a hard-wired, single-phase 4 kW appliance — there is no plug, and a licensed electrician connects it as part of installation.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Does the AT-937E come with a plug? A: No. Benchstar specifies this model as hard wired, single phase, so it has no plug and cannot be run from a power outlet. A licensed electrician must connect it to a suitable circuit.

Q: Why is it hard-wired when the smaller salamanders plug in? A: At 4kW its draw is above what a standard 10A outlet supports. The smaller AT-936E (2kW) and AT-938E (2.2kW) sit within a 10A circuit and are supplied as plug-in units.
