The Bezzera BZM80EB is an electronic doserless grinder — there is no dose chamber, the coffee is ground straight into the filter holder on demand. It runs 63 mm flat blades, holds three independently adjustable doses set by grinding time, and adjusts grind in steps of 0.01 mm per degree. Hopper capacity is 1 kg and daily production is around 3.5 kg of beans. It runs from a standard 10 A outlet.
Why operators choose the BZM80EB
- Doserless - ground straight into the filter holder — no coffee sits in a dose chamber going stale between shots. On a quality-led bar that is the single biggest freshness gain a grinder can give
- Three doses with independent adjustment — single, double and a third of your choosing, each set separately by grinding time rather than by a shared mechanism
- Grind adjustment of 0.01 mm per degree — fine enough to actually dial in a shot rather than jumping past the sweet spot, which is what coarse-stepped grinders do
- 63 mm flat blades — flat blades give a more uniform particle size than conical at this diameter, and 63 mm is a serious commercial size
- Colour capacitive touch screen plus a button panel — dose and time are set on screen and triggered on the panel - fast for a barista, and legible for a casual staff member
- 1 kg bean hopper — a working day's beans on the machine without holding so much that it goes stale
- Around 3.5 kg of beans a day — a stated daily production figure, so you can size it against your actual cup count
- Aluminium body — light, rigid and it does not corrode behind a bar
- Runs from a standard 10 A outlet — 420 W, so no electrical work

Venue suitability
The BZM80EB suits cafes, restaurants and bars pairing a grinder to a commercial espresso machine, particularly where coffee quality is the point of difference. Doserless grinding suits a site making shots to order rather than pre-dosing through a rush.

Installation & delivery
It runs from a standard 10 A power point, so no electrical work is required. At 340 mm wide, 225 mm deep and 580 mm tall it needs clearance above for the hopper to be filled and lifted off — check any shelf over the intended bar position against the 580 mm height. At 11.4 kg it is a one-person placement.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What does doserless mean, and why does it matter?
There is no dose chamber holding pre-ground coffee. Each dose is ground on demand straight into the filter holder. Ground coffee stales within minutes, so grinding to order is the single biggest freshness gain available - it is why quality-led bars specify doserless.
Q: How many doses can be programmed?
Three, each independently adjustable by grinding time - so single, double and a third setting of your choosing.
Q: How fine is the grind adjustment?
0.01 mm per degree of adjustment. That is fine enough to actually dial a shot in, rather than stepping past the setting you want.
Q: How much coffee will it get through in a day?
The manufacturer states approximately 3.5 kg of beans daily, with a 1 kg hopper capacity. Size that against your cup count - roughly 7 g to 20 g per shot depending on your recipe.
Q: Does it need special wiring?
No. It draws 420 W at 240 V and runs from a standard 10 A power point.
Q: What warranty does the BZM80EB come with?
Covered for 1 year, parts only — labour is not included. On a machine of this value that is worth budgeting for, because a service call is on you from day one. Terms vary by product — see our warranty information page for full details.
