The Brullen Beast is a floor-standing two-flavour-plus-twist soft serve machine with two 20 litre mix tanks and a Twin Twist System running two separate compressors, rated at 900 to 1,400 serves per hour. This is the gravity-feed build, running 16% to 45% overrun for a denser product. It requires two separate 25 A dedicated circuits — the single most important thing to establish before you order one.

Why operators choose the BEAST_NP-GF

  • It needs 2 x 25 A dedicated circuits — not one outlet, two - and both dedicated. This is switchboard work, not a power point, and it is the requirement most likely to delay a commissioning. Establish it with your electrician before ordering, not on delivery day
  • Two compressors, not one shared system — the Twin Twist System runs a compressor per side. Each flavour holds its own temperature independently, which is what stops one busy flavour dragging the other out of spec
  • 900 to 1,400 serves an hour — genuine high-volume output - this is the machine for a venue where the queue is the constraint
  • Gravity feed: 16% to 45% overrun — overrun is how much air is whipped into the mix, and it is the number that decides both texture and yield. A gravity-feed machine relies on the mix falling into the cylinder, which limits how much air goes in - so you get a denser, more gelato-like product and fewer serves per litre
  • Soft-touch operator menu — the controls a staff member actually uses, on a sealed panel that survives a sticky bench
  • POM plastic scraper blades — the blades scrape the frozen layer off the cylinder wall. Plastic rather than steel means they wear instead of the cylinder
  • R404a refrigerant, air-cooled condenser — no plumbing for the condenser - but it does need airflow around it

Venue suitability

The Beast suits high-volume dessert bars, entertainment venues and QSR sites where throughput is the constraint. At 245 kg and 1,500 mm tall it is a permanent floor installation, and the two dedicated 25 A circuits mean it needs planning into the fit-out rather than plugging in.

Installation & delivery

This machine requires two separate 25 A single-phase dedicated circuits. That is switchboard work — have your electrician confirm the board has capacity before you order, because it is the requirement most likely to stop a commissioning on delivery day. The recorded nominal power is 3.95 kW; we would note that 3.95 kW is well within what two 25 A circuits carry, so the circuit specification is likely about compressor start-up surge rather than continuous draw — either way, provide what the manufacturer specifies. Dimensions are recorded width x depth x height: 620 x 880 x 1,500 mm, and it weighs 245 kg (275 kg crated). The condenser is air-cooled, so it needs clear airflow around it.

Frequently asked questions

Q: What is overrun, and why does it matter more than anything else here?

Overrun is the percentage of air whipped into the mix. It sets both the texture and your yield. A gravity-feed machine runs 15-45% overrun and gives a denser, gelato-like product; an air-pump machine runs 40-80% and gives classic light soft serve. The commercial consequence is the yield: at 80% overrun one litre of mix becomes roughly 1.8 litres of finished product, where at 20% it becomes 1.2. If you are comparing a gravity-feed and an air-pump version of the same machine, that is the difference you are actually choosing between.

Q: What electrical supply does it need?

Two separate 25 amp single-phase dedicated circuits. This is the specification to check first: it is switchboard work rather than a power point, and it is the most common reason a machine like this cannot be commissioned on the day it arrives. Get your electrician to confirm the board has capacity before ordering.

Q: Why two compressors?

The Twin Twist System gives each flavour its own refrigeration circuit rather than splitting one. In practice that means a flavour being hammered during a rush holds its temperature without pulling the other one out of spec - which is exactly the situation a two-flavour machine is bought for.

Q: How many serves will it actually do?

900 to 1,400 an hour, based on 80 gram serves, depending on the product. The range is wide because a denser mix takes longer to freeze; plan against the lower end if you run a rich mix.

Q: Does it need plumbing or extra ventilation?

The condenser is air-cooled, so there is no water connection for cooling - but it does need clear airflow around it, and boxing it into a tight cabinet will cost you capacity on a hot day. Our data does not record a ventilation clearance figure for this model, so check the equipment manual or ask us before you build it into joinery.

Q: What is the scraper blade made of and why does that matter?

POM plastic. The blades scrape the frozen layer off the inside of the freezing cylinder thousands of times a day, and the choice of material decides what wears out. Plastic blades wear instead of the cylinder, so the consumable is a cheap replaceable part rather than the machine itself.
