BS1A Single Pan Ambient Bain Marie Cabinet

The BS1A is an AMBIENT display cabinet — unheated. Its title and its specification both describe it as ambient and no heating element or electrical supply is recorded against it, so we are not going to present it as a bain marie. It holds 1 x 1/1 GN pan plus 3 x 1/3 pans on top, and 1/1 GN pans 100 mm deep are included.

Installation & delivery

No electrical supply is recorded and none appears to be needed — this is an ambient cabinet, so there is no power point to arrange. Dimensions are recorded width x depth x height: 800 x 950 x 900—650 mm. The two height figures are not an error: the glass slopes, so the cabinet is 900 mm at its tallest and 650 mm at the front. Measure against the 900 for clearance and the 650 for sight lines over it. At 47 kg it is a two-person lift, and pans are supplied with it.

Yes - 1/1 GN pans at 100 mm deep come with it. That is the opposite of the two Jasper hot food displays we list, where pans are sold separately, so it is worth noting when you compare them on price.

Q: What pans does it take?

One full 1/1 gastronorm pan, plus three 1/3-size pans on top. That lets you run a single large item alongside three smaller ones.

Q: Why are two heights listed?

Because the glass slopes. The cabinet is 900 mm at its tallest point and 650 mm at the front - it is one cabinet with a sloping top, not two options. Use the 900 mm figure for overhead clearance and the 650 mm for sight lines across the counter.
