The CookRite 8700 is a benchtop bain marie that holds cooked food, sauces, soups and curries at safe service temperature without drying them out. It takes a single 1/1 GN pan up to 150 mm deep, holds a steady 60–88 °C on a mechanical dial, and cuts the element automatically if the water runs low.
Why operators choose the 8700
- Holds one 1/1 GN pan up to 150 mm deep — takes a deep pan, so a full service of sauce or curry fits in one vessel
- Steady 60 to 88 degrees C on a mechanical dial — a real holding band for food-safety records, set with one control and no menu
- Automatic energy cut-off — protects the element if the water bath runs low — the failure that kills bain maries
- Stainless steel tank and body — wipes down and stands up to daily filling, draining and cleaning
- Compact 580 x 340 mm footprint — adds hot holding to a tight counter without displacing a prep station
- 240 V plug-in operation — connects to a standard outlet, so it can move between service points

Venue suitability
A benchtop bain marie holds rather than cooks — sauces, gravies, curries and soups kept at service temperature beside the pass. The 8700 suits cafes, takeaway counters, food trucks, canteens and catering setups. If you empty the bath daily, the 8710 adds a drain; otherwise the 8700 is the simpler unit.

Installation & delivery
It is a self-contained plug-in unit running on 240 V, so a standard outlet is all that is required — no hard-wiring and no plumbing. Set it on a level bench and fill the water bath before switching on — the automatic cut-off protects the element, but the unit is designed to run with water in the tank. Packed size is 615 × 360 × 255 mm. Dispatched from our Sydney HQ with partner warehouses in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth for faster delivery Australia-wide. Covered by a 24-month (2-year) manufacturer-backed warranty on all parts and labour — see our warranty information page for the terms that apply.
Frequently asked questions
