The Elementry DR-2E is a double mobile plate lowerator holding 120 to 160 plates up to 300 mm diameter, heated and thermostatically controlled from 50 to 80 °C. Stainless steel throughout and on castors, so it moves to the pass.
Why operators choose the DR-2E
- 120 to 160 plates, depending on thickness — the spread is real: a thick banqueting plate stacks fewer than a thin one, so take the lower figure if you are planning a service
- Maximum plate diameter 300 mm — measure your plates, not your chargers
- Thermostatically controlled 50 to 80 °C — a warm plate holds food temperature through service; too hot and staff cannot handle it, which is why the ceiling matters as much as the floor
- Self-levelling on castors — the stack rises as plates are taken, so the top plate stays at the same working height, and the unit rolls to where it is needed
- Stainless steel construction — wash-down survivable
- 800 W on a 4 amp draw — a standard 240 V outlet, no electrical work
- The single-tube DR-1E holds 60 to 80 plates in a 485 mm depth if floor space is tight

Venue suitability
A plate lowerator suits banqueting, function centres, hotels and any kitchen plating at volume where cold plates would undo the pass. On castors it can be loaded in the kitchen and wheeled to service rather than living in one spot.

Installation & delivery
Plugs into a standard 240 V outlet at 800 W, drawing about 4 A — no electrical work. Dimensions are recorded width x depth x height: 450 x 910 x 920 mm, and it weighs 48 kg empty, before plates. Packed size is 450 x 980 x 940 mm — check your doorways and lift against the packed figure, not the product one. It arrives on castors.
Warranty terms are per product — see our warranty information page.
Frequently asked questions
Q: How many plates does it really hold?
120 to 160 across the two tubes, depending on plate thickness. Plan on the lower figure for heavy banqueting plates.
Q: Is it twice the size of the DR-1E?
Not in the way most people assume. It is the same 450 mm wide and the same 920 mm tall - the second tube goes behind the first, so the depth grows from 485 mm to 910 mm. If you are fitting it against a wall, depth is the constraint, not frontage. Weight goes from 31 kg to 48 kg empty.
Q: Will it take my plates?
Up to 300 mm diameter, same as the single unit. Measure the plate, not a charger.
Q: How hot does it get?
50 to 80 C, thermostatically controlled. Warm enough to hold food temperature, cool enough for staff to handle.
Q: Does it need special wiring?
No. 800 W on a standard 240 V outlet, about 4 amps - still well inside a 10 amp circuit.
