The Modular Systems 1500-7-SSBC is a centre sink bench, 1500 x 700 x 900 mm, with one 500 x 400 x 250 mm bowl in 1.2 mm 304-grade stainless steel. Flat packed for self-assembly.

• One 500 x 400 x 250 mm bowl — deep enough to stand a gastronorm pan upright, which is usually the awkward item in any wash-up
• 1.2 mm 304-grade stainless steel top — 304 is the grade that takes daily detergent and food acid without pitting, and 1.2 mm is a working thickness rather than a facing
• Angled draining rack — water runs back toward the bowl instead of pooling on the bench or onto the floor
• Raised lip all round so spillage stays on the bench, and 100 mm splashbacks at a 900 mm working height
• Adjustable galvanised steel legs — so it levels on a floor that is not level, which most commercial kitchen floors are not
• Galvanised steel undershelf — note the legs and undershelf are galvanised, not stainless; the 304 grade is the top

Installation & delivery

No electrical supply — this is an unpowered bench and plumbing is the trade you need. Dimensions are recorded width x depth x height: 1500 x 700 x 900 mm, with 250 mm deep bowls and 100 mm splashbacks. It arrives flat packed for self-assembly, so the cartons are much smaller than the finished bench — expected, not an error. The legs adjust for levelling and bolt-down feet (DM-FEET) are available separately. No weight is recorded.

Frequently asked questions

Q: What size is the bowl?

One bowl at 500 x 400 mm and 250 mm deep, set centrally with draining area either side. Worth noting the bowl size differs across this range - the 1200-6-DSBC has two 400 x 400 bowls, so this one is a single but a wider single.

Q: Does it come assembled?

No - flat packed for self-assembly. That keeps the freight cost down and makes it far easier to get through a doorway, but budget assembly time on site. It also means the delivered cartons are much smaller than the finished bench, which is expected rather than a mistake.

Q: Is the whole bench stainless steel?

No, and it is worth being precise. The top is 1.2 mm 304-grade stainless. The legs and the undershelf are galvanised steel. That is a normal build at this price and it is not a fault - but if you need stainless throughout, tell us and we will point you at a different bench.

Q: Is it 700 mm deep rather than 600?

Yes - this one is 700 mm deep where the 1200 and 1800 benches in the range are 600. If you are putting several together in a run, that 100 mm step matters, so check the whole layout rather than each bench.

Q: What warranty does it carry?

Two years, parts only - labour is not included. Both of our warranty records agree on that term, so we can state it plainly rather than hedging.
