The Elementry DR-1E is a single mobile plate lowerator holding 60 to 80 plates up to 300 mm diameter, heated and thermostatically controlled from 50 to 80 °C. Stainless steel throughout and on castors, so it moves to the pass.
Why operators choose the DR-1E
- 60 to 80 plates, depending on thickness — the spread is real: a thick banqueting plate stacks fewer than a thin one, so take the lower figure if you are planning a service
- Maximum plate diameter 300 mm — measure your plates, not your chargers
- Thermostatically controlled 50 to 80 °C — a warm plate holds food temperature through service; too hot and staff cannot handle it, which is why the ceiling matters as much as the floor
- Self-levelling on castors — the stack rises as plates are taken, so the top plate stays at the same working height, and the unit rolls to where it is needed
- Stainless steel construction — wash-down survivable
- 400 W on a 2 amp draw — a standard 240 V outlet, no electrical work
- The double-tube DR-2E holds 120 to 160 plates in the same 450 mm width, going deeper rather than wider

Venue suitability
A plate lowerator suits banqueting, function centres, hotels and any kitchen plating at volume where cold plates would undo the pass. On castors it can be loaded in the kitchen and wheeled to service rather than living in one spot.

Installation & delivery
Plugs into a standard 240 V outlet at 400 W, drawing about 2 A — no electrical work. Dimensions are recorded width x depth x height: 450 x 485 x 920 mm, and it weighs 31 kg empty, before plates. Packed size is 620 x 550 x 1000 mm — check your doorways and lift against the packed figure, not the product one. It arrives on castors.

Frequently asked questions
Q: How many plates does it really hold?
60 to 80, and the spread is down to plate thickness. If you are sizing for a function, plan on the lower figure - a heavy banqueting plate stacks nearer 60 than 80.
Q: Will it take my plates?
Up to 300 mm diameter. Measure the plate itself rather than a charger or underplate.
Q: How hot does it get?
Thermostatically controlled between 50 and 80 C. The upper limit matters as much as the lower one: much above 80 C and staff cannot handle the plates bare-handed.
Q: What is the difference between this and the DR-2E?
Capacity and footprint. The DR-2E is a double unit holding 120 to 160 plates against this one's 60 to 80, and it draws 800 W against 400 W. Notably it is the same 450 mm width - it goes deeper, 910 mm against 485 mm, rather than wider. So the choice is about floor depth, not bench frontage.
Q: Does it need special wiring?
No. 400 W on a standard 240 V outlet, about 2 amps.
