The ExtremePro NP-ProBTD is a 17 litre speed oven combining microwave, vertical hot air impingement and convection — three heat sources in one cavity, which is how a speed oven cooks in a fraction of conventional time without simply microwaving. It stores up to 1,024 menus with 15 cooking stages each, has a built-in oil smoke filter and catalytic converter, and comes with a Teflon mesh basket, oven shovel and tray. It is IPX3 rated with a 5-inch touch screen and a USB port.
Why operators choose the NP-ProBTD
- Three heat sources, not just a microwave — microwave for speed, vertical hot air impingement for surface browning and crisping, convection at the bottom for colour. A microwave alone reheats; this actually finishes food
- Built-in oil smoke filter and catalytic converter — this is what allows a speed oven to be sited where a canopy is impractical. Note it is not a compliance ruling - see the FAQ before assuming no extraction is needed
- 1,024 menus, 15 cooking stages each — program your entire menu once and let staff press a picture. On a site with turnover that is the difference between consistent food and variable food
- Microwave output 0 to 100 per cent in 10 per cent steps — fine control over how much of the cooking is microwave, which is what stops food going rubbery
- Single magnetron, high-efficiency magnetrons on top — the manufacturer's design point: energy from above for even cooking while retaining moisture
- Convection at the bottom for colour — the bottom heat is specifically for appearance, which on a plated item is what the customer judges
- Comes with a Teflon mesh basket, oven shovel and tray — the working accessories are in the box
- IPX3 waterproof rating and 10 blower speeds — rated against spraying water, and the airflow is adjustable rather than fixed
- USB port — move menus between units or back them up rather than re-programming by hand

Venue suitability
The NP-ProBTD suits cafes, convenience food, bars, clubs and any operation finishing or cooking to order at speed without a full kitchen line. The programmable menus make it viable where staff are not trained chefs, and the built-in filtration makes it viable where extraction is limited.

Installation & delivery
Do not size a circuit from this page. Our recorded power field reads 415 V, 6.3 kW and 27 A, and those three figures do not reconcile with each other — 6.3 kW on a 415 V three-phase supply is under 9 A per phase, while 27 A at 6.3 kW implies a single-phase supply of around 233 V. The wattage is the figure we can stand behind; the supply configuration needs confirming with our team and your electrician before any work is booked. At 81 kg it is a two-person lift onto a bench rated for it. Allow clearance for airflow and for the filter to be serviced — a filter that is not maintained stops doing its job.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What electrical supply does it need?
This is the one thing we cannot tell you precisely, and we would rather say so than guess. Our record reads '415V, 6.3W/27A'. The 6.3 is clearly kilowatts rather than watts. But 6.3 kW on 415 V three phase works out at under 9 A per phase, while 27 A at 6.3 kW implies roughly a 233 V single-phase supply. The voltage and the amperage cannot both be right. Contact our team for the correct configuration before booking an electrician.
Q: How is a speed oven different from a microwave?
A microwave heats through the food but cannot brown or crisp it. This combines microwave with vertical hot air impingement - high-velocity hot air directed at the surface - and convection at the bottom. That gives you microwave speed with an oven's finish, which is why speed ovens sit in cafes that have no kitchen line.
Q: Does the built-in filter mean I do not need extraction?
It means the machine is designed to control its own oil smoke, and that is exactly why speed ovens get specified where a canopy is impractical. But whether extraction is required at your site is a compliance question set by local regulations and what you are cooking, not by the appliance. Talk to your mechanical contractor - and keep the filter maintained, because an unserviced filter stops working.
Q: How many programmes can it hold?
Up to 1,024 menus with 15 cooking stages each. That is far more than most operations will use, and the practical benefit is that every item on your menu can have its own button rather than staff judging times.
Q: What comes with it?
A Teflon mesh basket, an oven shovel and a tray - the working accessories rather than an empty cavity.
Q: What warranty does the NP-ProBTD come with?
Covered for 1 year parts and labour, plus a further 1 year parts only if you register the product within 14 days of invoice. The registration condition is a real one — miss it and the second year does not apply. Terms vary by product — see our warranty information page for full details.
