Does it need professional installation?
Yes. As a gas appliance it must be commissioned by an authorised F.E.D. technician or licensed gas fitter before first use. The ½" gas inlet is standard, so it connects to most commercial kitchen gas fit-outs.
How much bench space does it need?
The unit measures 405 mm wide × 650 mm deep × 475+60 mm high. Leave 50–100 mm clearance behind for the gas hose and space either side for operator access and heat dispersion.
What is the flame-failure safety feature?
If the flame is extinguished by a draft, spill, or gas drop, the burner automatically shuts off the gas supply, reducing operator risk during preheat and service.
