A 22 mm heavy-duty steel plate holds an even temperature across both zones, the U-shape burners deliver 30 MJ/hr each (60 MJ/hr total) for fast recovery between batches, and brass control valves take the wear that thinner taps don't. Flame failure shuts gas off if a burner extinguishes — the modern commercial-kitchen safety standard.

Installation notes

Installed by a licensed gas fitter under AS/NZS 5601. 3/4″ rear NG connection — pre-plumb before delivery. The unit sits on adjustable heavy-duty legs designed for bench mounting; pair with a stainless bench rated for the unit weight, or the matched GasMax GG-24-SEN stand if you want a purpose-built support.

Q: Can I run the GG-24 on LPG? A: Yes — an LPG conversion kit is available for Australian deliveries. Note the LPG model and conversion kit are not available in New Zealand. Conversion is a licensed gas fitter job.

Q: How thick is the cooking plate, and why does it matter? A: 22 mm mild steel. Thicker plates hold temperature steadier when cold food hits the surface — important for batch breakfast service where the plate sees cold eggs and bacon repeatedly.

Q: What's the total heat output? A: 60 MJ/hr — 30 MJ/hr per U-shape burner. That's enough recovery heat for a continuous breakfast or brunch service.

Q: Does it need three-phase power? A: No power requirement at all — it's gas-only. You'll need a 3/4″ NG connection (or LPG with the conversion kit) and a licensed gas fitter for install.

Q: Where does the grease and oil go during cooking? A: A grease channel runs across the front of the plate; oil collects in a stainless steel removable tray underneath. Empty between services — don't let oil build up in the tray during a long shift.

Q: What warranty cover applies? A: 2 years parts and labour + an extra 2 years parts-only when you register the product within 14 days of invoice. Warranty work is coordinated via our Granville NSW workshop.
