The Anvil ICK3500 is a commercial induction cooker running 3.1 kW from a 15 amp supply, with a temperature range of 60 to 240 °C and electronic overheat protection. Induction heats the pan rather than the air, so it requires magnetic-based cookware.
Why operators choose the ICE-ICK3500
- Requires magnetic-based pots — induction works by inducing current in the pan itself, so aluminium and copper without a magnetic base will not heat. Test your existing pans with a magnet before ordering
- 60 to 240 °C — a working range from holding through to searing
- Electronic overheat protection — cuts the unit before the electronics cook, which is the common failure on induction under a busy pass
- 3.1 kW on a 15 amp supply — above a standard outlet, so it needs a 15 amp point
- 250 mm cooking circle — the heated zone, so match your pan base to it rather than to the overall top
- Timer with LED display, 0 to 180 minutes — unattended holding without a separate clock
- Instant heat — no warm-up and no idle draw, which is where induction saves money during quiet periods

Venue suitability
Induction suits kitchens that want cooking power without the heat load and ventilation burden of gas - front-of-house cooking, demo kitchens, tight spaces and any site where a gas connection is impractical. The benchtop unit of the two Anvil induction models.

Installation & delivery
Needs a 15 amp supply at 3.1 kW — above a standard outlet. Dimensions are recorded width x height x depth: 375 x 172 x 420 mm, so the depth is the largest figure. Induction needs airflow underneath and around the vents; do not box it in. Our data records no weight.
Warranty terms are per product — see our warranty information page.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What size pan does it take?
The cooking circle is 250 mm - that is the heated zone. A pan with a base wider than that will have an unheated rim, and a much smaller base may not trigger the pan-detection. Match the base, not the overall pan diameter.
Q: Can I use my existing pans?
Only if they are magnetic-based. Induction induces current in the pan itself, so stainless with a magnetic base and cast iron work, while plain aluminium and copper do not. Hold a fridge magnet to the base - if it sticks, the pan will work.
Q: Can I plug it into a normal outlet?
No. At 3.1 kW it needs a 15 amp supply. A standard 10 amp outlet will not carry it.
Q: What is the difference between this and the drop-in ICK3501?
Installation and power. This is a benchtop unit at 3.1 kW; the ICK3501 is a drop-in built into the counter, at 3.5 kW, with a stainless body and frame and controls that can be sited above or below the counter. Both need a 15 amp supply and both run 60 to 240 C.
Q: What does the timer do?
It runs 0 to 180 minutes on an LED display, so you can hold or cook to time without watching the unit.
