ICE Mars Pendant Heat Lamp HLD0002

The ICE Mars is a suspended pendant heat lamp with a narrow 216 x 156 mm cover on a slim 180 x 180 x 430 mm fixture, available in silver, matte white, copper or matte black. It carries a 250 W Teflon-coated globe and the drop is adjustable from 500 mm to 1800 mm. Like its Venus sibling it is hard wired, so an electrician connects it.

Installation & delivery

This lamp is hard wired. No plug is supplied, so a licensed electrician has to make the connection — arrange it before delivery. The load itself is small at 240 V single phase, 0.25 kW (about 1 A), so this is a connection job rather than a new circuit. Set the drop anywhere between 500 and 1800 mm. We publish the fixture size from this product's own description; the supplier's dimension tag carries a conflicting depth figure and the same composite value as the Venus model, so we have not used it. Dispatched Australia-wide.

Q: Does the Mars need an electrician?

Yes. It is hard wired with no plug. If you need a heat lamp that plugs straight into a standard outlet, look at the ICE HLB benchtop range instead.

Q: How does the Mars differ from the Venus?

The cover and the fixture. The Mars uses a narrow 216 x 156 mm cover on a slim 180 x 180 x 430 mm body; the Venus HLD0001 uses a wider 216 x 267 mm cover on a 280 x 280 x 360 mm body. Globe, drop range, voltage and power are identical. Pick the Mars for a narrow pass and the Venus for a deeper counter.

Q: Is the globe supplied?

Yes, a 250 W Teflon-coated globe comes with the lamp.

Q: Why do the colours cost different amounts?

The copper and matte black finishes are priced above the silver and matte white. The specification is otherwise identical across all four.
