ICE Venus Pendant Heat Lamp HLD0001

The ICE Venus is a suspended pendant heat lamp that drops over a pass or servery counter, supplied with a 250 W Teflon-coated globe and finished in a choice of matte white, silver, copper or matte black. The drop is adjustable from 500 mm to 1800 mm, and the lamp cover measures 216 x 267 mm. It is hard wired — there is no plug, so installation is an electrician's job, not a plug-in.

Installation & delivery

This lamp is hard wired. There is no plug, so a licensed electrician must connect it and you should have that arranged before delivery. Electrically it is a modest load — 240 V single phase at 0.25 kW, about 1 A — so the work is the connection itself rather than a new circuit. The suspension adjusts between 500 and 1800 mm; set the drop so the cover clears heads and staff reach across the pass. Our records give the fixture as 280 x 280 x 360 mm, and we would note that the spec tag on the supplier record carries a different figure that is identical to the one on the Mars model, so we have published the measurement from this product's own description. Frequently asked questions

Q: Does the Venus need an electrician?

Yes. It is hard wired with no plug, so a licensed electrician has to connect it. If you want a heat lamp that simply plugs in, the ICE HLB benchtop range runs from a standard 10 A outlet instead.

Q: What is the difference between the Venus and the Mars?

Cover size and fixture shape. The Venus uses a 216 x 267 mm cover on a 280 x 280 x 360 mm fixture; the Mars HLD0002 uses a narrower 216 x 156 mm cover on a taller, slimmer 180 x 180 x 430 mm fixture. Both are hard wired, both take a 250 W Teflon-coated globe, and both adjust from 500 to 1800 mm. Choose the Venus where you want coverage over a deeper plate area.

Q: Is the globe included?

Yes, a 250 W Teflon-coated globe is supplied with the lamp.

Q: Does the colour change anything except the look?

No. All four finishes share the same globe, cover, drop range and electrical specification. Note that the matte white is priced differently to the other three, so check the variant you select.

Q: How low can it hang?

The drop adjusts from 500 mm to 1800 mm, so it covers most servery and pass heights without a custom mount.

Q: How heavy is it?
