The Mecnosud SMM1130 is a 200 litre bakery spiral mixer producing 130 kg of finished dough from 80 kg of flour. Its defining feature is separate motors for the bowl and the spiral — not one motor driving both through a gearbox, but two, each with its own timer. That is what allows pulse rotation of the bowl for unloading and cleaning, and a reversible bowl. It is a production machine: three-phase, supplied without a plug.
Why operators choose the ICE-SMM1130
- Separate motors for bowl and spiral — the single most important specification here. Independent drives mean the bowl and the tool can be run at genuinely independent speeds and directions - which a shared gearbox cannot do
- Dual timers for automatic management of operating speeds — the machine runs its own speed programme rather than needing an operator at the controls
- Pulse rotation of the bowl — jog the bowl in steps for unloading and cleaning instead of running it continuously. On a 200 litre bowl that is the difference between reaching the dough and chasing it
- Reversible bowl — run the bowl either direction - useful in unloading and in working particular doughs
- 130 kg finished dough from 80 kg flour — genuine bakery production. For context the 75 litre machine in the same range manages 60 kg
- Compatible with an optional hydraulic tilting mechanism — tips onto a worktable or directly into a divider. On a batch this size, how the dough leaves the machine is a real workflow question - ask about the option
- Trapezoidal belt drive for quiet operation — belts here are a deliberate choice for noise, on a machine that runs for long periods
- Stainless bowl, spiral, shaft, guard and head plate cover — high-grade stainless across every part that touches or sits above the dough
- Stainless front adjustable feet and rear wheels — level at the front, move on the rear wheels

Venue suitability
The SMM1130 suits production bakeries and large pizzerias mixing 130 kg batches. At this size the question is not whether the machine can mix the dough but how the dough gets out of it — which is why the pulse rotation, the reversible bowl and the optional tilting mechanism matter more than the headline capacity.

Installation & delivery
This is a three-phase machine supplied without a plug, and the manufacturer requires installation by a qualified electrician. If three phase is not already at your premises, price that work before committing — it can exceed the cost of the machine. The spiral motor is two-speed at 3 and 5.2 kW with a separate 0.75 kW bowl motor, all on 400 V. Dimensions are recorded width x height x depth: 830 mm wide, 1,460 mm tall, 1,355 mm deep — a substantial floor footprint, and the depth is the figure most often underestimated. Plan the unloading route before you plan the position: if you intend to use the optional hydraulic tilting mechanism onto a worktable or into a divider, the geometry of that has to work. Our data records no weight, which on a machine this size you will want before committing a floor.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What difference do separate bowl and spiral motors make?
Independence. With one motor and a gearbox, the bowl and the spiral turn in a fixed relationship. With separate motors each can be run at its own speed and direction, and each has its own timer - which is what makes pulse rotation and a reversible bowl possible. On a 200 litre batch those are unloading and cleaning features as much as mixing ones.
Q: How do you get 130 kg of dough out of it?
That is the right question to ask at this size, and there are three answers on this machine. Pulse rotation jogs the bowl in steps so you can work the dough out in sections. The bowl is reversible. And the machine is compatible with an optional hydraulic tilting mechanism that tips the batch onto a worktable or straight into a divider - ask our team about that option before you finalise the layout.
Q: How much dough will it make?
130 kg of finished product from 80 kg of flour in a 200 litre bowl. Work to the flour weight. For comparison, the 75 litre machine in this range manages 60 kg from 40 kg of flour.
Q: Why belts rather than gears on a machine this size?
Noise. The manufacturer specifies trapezoidal belts for quiet operation. On a production machine running for long periods in a bakery, that is a working-environment decision rather than a cost one.
Q: What electrical supply does it need?
400 V three phase. The spiral motor is two-speed at 3 and 5.2 kW and there is a separate 0.75 kW bowl motor. Installation is a job for a qualified electrician; if three phase is not at your premises, price that work before ordering.
Q: What warranty does the ICE-SMM1130 come with?
Covered for 2 years parts and labour under the manufacturer's Double Gold Star warranty — a branded term, but the substance is a full two years on both parts and labour. Terms vary by product — see our warranty information page for full details.
