The Modular Systems SMS-H is a heavy-gauge stainless steel single mop sink for commercial kitchens, food-service venues, hospitality cleaning stations and back-of-house wash-up areas. Built from 1.2 mm SUS304 stainless steel with a fully welded, polished bowl, the SMS-H is engineered for daily mop-bucket fills, floor-mop rinsing and chemical-resistant cleaning workflows that would corrode lighter-gauge or coated sinks.

Installation notes
The SMS-H ships as a freestanding unit at 800 mm working height. Plumbing connects to the 90 mm drain via standard waste fittings; a tap or rinsing spray is plumbed in separately at the wall (the unit doesn't include a tap). Position the sink with clearance for a 20 L mop bucket and consider a wall-mounted spray hose or pre-rinse tap for filling buckets quickly.

Does the SMS-H come with a tap?
No — the sink ships without a tap. Plumb in a separate wall-mounted commercial tap or pre-rinse spray. Most operators use a swan-neck mixer or pre-rinse spray so the spout sits high enough to clear a 20-litre mop bucket.
Why do I need a separate mop sink — can't I use the kitchen sink?
Most Australian council health inspectors require a dedicated mop sink in commercial food premises so floor-cleaning chemicals and dirty mop water don't enter food-prep sinks. Using a food-prep sink for mopping is a common audit failure.
Will a standard 20 L mop bucket fit inside?
Yes — the SMS-H bowl is sized to take a standard 20 L commercial mop bucket for filling. The 800 mm working height also lets you tip-empty buckets without lifting them onto a bench.
How does 1.2 mm SUS304 compare to lighter gauges?
1.2 mm is heavy-gauge for sink construction — it resists denting, holds shape and handles years of daily use. Lighter 0.7 mm or 0.9 mm sheet is fine for under-bench shelving but flexes under weight when used as a sink basin.
What's the warranty?
