The Musso L3 Giardino (IMM0003) is a self-contained batch ice cream machine: the compressor is built in, so it freezes the mix as it churns and there is no pre-frozen bowl to plan around. It runs 2.5 kg per batch at up to 8 kg/h, with a 72 rpm stirrer, and it is a benchtop machine on a standard 240 V outlet.
Why operators choose the IMM0003
- Self-contained - no pre-frozen bowl — the built-in compressor freezes as it churns, so batches run back to back. A machine that needs its bowl pre-frozen gives you one batch and then a wait; this does not
- 2.5 kg per batch, up to 8 kg/h — batch size is what decides how many flavours you can hold, and hourly output is what decides whether you can keep up on a hot Saturday. Both are worth checking against your own service rather than against the machine above or below it
- 72 rpm stirrer — stirrer speed drives how much air goes into the mix and therefore the texture. It is recorded per model across this range and is not the same on every machine
- Runs from a standard 240 V outlet at 0.56 kW — roughly 2.3 A. No three-phase supply, no hard wiring and no switchboard work — which on a dessert counter or in a small gelateria is often the deciding practicality
- Benchtop, 620 (W) x 430 (H) x 420 (D) — allow the bench space and the working clearance above it. At 62 kg it is a two-person lift onto a bench
- The same machine as the L3R Club, on a bench instead of the floor — the L3 Giardino and the L3R Club record the identical batch size, stirrer speed, hourly output and power. The only difference is the build — this one is benchtop, the Club is floor-standing. Choose on where it has to live, not on what it makes

Venue suitability
Suited to gelaterias, dessert bars, patisseries, cafes and restaurants making their own gelato, sorbet and ice cream in-house. The two figures to match against your own service are 2.5 kg per batch — how much of one flavour you get in one run — and 8 kg/h, which is what you can actually replace during trade.

Installation & delivery
Allow bench space of 620 (W) x 430 (H) x 420 (D) mm plus working clearance above the lid. Power is a standard 240 V single-phase outlet at 0.56 kW, about 2.3 A — no plumbing, no three-phase supply and no hard wiring. Packed it measures 680 x 475 x 510 mm and the machine weighs 62 kg, so plan the delivery path and the lift. Dispatched Australia-wide.
The rest of the range: L1 Mini at 0.7 kg per batch and up to 2 kg/h, Stella (L2) at 1.5 L (approx. 1.5 kg) per batch and up to 4.5 kg/h, L3R Club at 2.5 kg per batch and up to 8 kg/h, L4 Consul at 3.5 kg per batch and up to 12 kg/h.

Frequently asked questions
Q: Does it need a pre-frozen bowl?
No. The compressor is built in and the machine is fully self-contained, so it freezes the mix while it churns and you can run consecutive batches without waiting for anything to re-freeze.
Q: How is this different from the L3R Club?
Only in the build. Both record 2.5 kg per batch, a 72 rpm stirrer, up to 8 kg/h and 0.56 kW. The L3 Giardino is benchtop at 620 x 430 x 420 mm; the L3R Club is floor-standing at 420 x 850 x 450 mm. Choose on whether you can spare the bench or the floor. Note also that both models are photographed very similarly to the L4 Consul, so go by the recorded dimensions above rather than by the picture.
Q: How much does it make?
2.5 kg per batch, and up to 8 kg/h of continuous production. Batch size and hourly output are different questions - batch size limits how much of one flavour you get in a run, hourly output is what you can replace across a service.
Q: What power supply does it need?
A standard 240 V single-phase outlet. It draws 0.56 kW, roughly 2.3 A, so it needs no three-phase supply and no hard wiring. As with any refrigeration we would not have it sharing a circuit with other heavy loads.
Q: Which model should I choose?
Work from batch size and hourly output. Across this range they run 0.7 kg and 2 kg/h, 1.5 kg and 4.5 kg/h, 2.5 kg and 8 kg/h on two different builds, and 3.5 kg and 12 kg/h. The L3 Giardino and L3R Club are the same machine in benchtop and floor-standing form, so between those two the choice is about where it lives, not what it makes.
Q: Is it a benchtop or a floor machine?
Benchtop. It measures 620 (W) x 430 (H) x 420 (D) mm and weighs 62 kg. Allow for a two-person lift onto the bench.
Q: What warranty does it come with?
24 months under the Gold Star term - 2 years parts and 1 year labour. That split matters: in the second year the part is covered and the technician's time is not. Full terms are on our warranty information page.
