The Nemco NTS1045 is a manual easy tomato slicer 2 that draws a whole tomato through a gang of 14 razor-sharp blades to give an even 4.5mm slice in one pass. It is the finer cut of the two in the Easy Tomato Slicer 2 range. The blade carriage runs on a self-lubricating track, which the supplier specifies to resist the misalignment that nicks and breaks blades on a slicer of this type. It needs no power, no outlet and no electrician.
Why operators choose the NTS1045
- 4.5mm cut across 14 blades — the thin slice, and one more blade than the original at the same thickness. More slices per tomato means better coverage per sandwich and a case that goes further
- Self-lubricating track — the supplier's named wear feature. A blade gang that drifts out of line is what nicks blades and ruins slices, so the track material is doing the work that keeps the machine cutting true
- Razor-sharp blades, one pass — the tomato is drawn through rather than pressed down onto a board, which is what keeps the flesh intact and the slice even from end to end
- Enclosed pre-tensioned cartridge — the difference between this generation and the original. The blades arrive tensioned inside a cartridge and are not adjusted by the operator, which removes the single most common way a tomato slicer goes out of true on a busy section
- Compact against the alternatives — the supplier claims around 60 per cent less bench space than comparable units. On a sandwich or burger bench, where slicing tomato is a daily job and space is the constraint, that is the practical argument
- 4 kg net — light enough to lift down and strip properly at the end of service, which matters on a machine that handles acidic produce all day
- Fully manual — no power, no outlet and no electrician, so it sits wherever the sandwich or burger section needs it

Venue suitability
The pick for a high-volume sandwich, burger or salad bench that wants the thin slice and would rather have nothing for staff to adjust - a busy sandwich bar, a burger chain kitchen, a contract catering site, or any operation where several people use the same machine across a week. The NTS1060 gives the thicker 6 mm cut on the same cartridge design.

Installation & delivery
Nothing to connect. Allow bench space to suit the 190 x 467 x 238 mm body plus room in front for the carriage to run out through its full stroke — that travel, not the body, is what sets the space you actually need. The machine is manual, so there is no outlet, no switchboard work and no electrician. At 4 kg it lifts down easily for a proper wash, which is worth doing daily on a machine cutting acidic produce. Dispatched Australia-wide.
Also available as the NTS1060 at a 6 mm cut. The original NTS0045 offers the same 4.5 mm cut with operator-tensioned blades.

Frequently asked questions
Q: What thickness does this model slice?
4.5mm, across 14 blades. The blade gang is fixed, so each machine cuts one thickness - Nemco covers the alternatives with separate models rather than an adjustable gang.
Q: Does it need power?
No. It is entirely hand-operated - no motor, no lead, no plug - so no outlet, no switchboard work and no electrician are needed.
Q: What does the 2 in Easy Tomato Slicer 2 mean?
It is the later generation. The blades sit in an enclosed, pre-tensioned cartridge rather than being individually tensioned, so there is nothing for an operator to adjust and less to go wrong. The original NTS0045 and NTS0060 use the same cutting principle at a lower price if you would rather adjust the blades yourself.
Q: Will it slice anything other than tomatoes?
The supplier specifies and rates it as a tomato slicer, so that is what we will state for it. If you want a machine for firmer produce or for a range of thicknesses, ask our team and we will point you at the right one rather than stretch this machine's claims.
Q: Does the photograph show this exact model?
Treat it as representative. This model and its sibling share one product photograph on our source record, and the two are externally alike - the difference is the blade gang inside. The machine supplied is the NTS1045, Nemco code 56600-1, at the 4.5mm cut specified above.
Q: What warranty does it carry?
Twelve months, back to base. A warranty repair is carried out at the service agent's workshop and the machine returned to you, rather than a technician attending your site. Full terms are on our warranty information page.
