The Nemco NEW0010 Easy Wedger cuts firm produce into ten sections wedges in a single downward push. It is the finest of the three, giving the thinnest wedge in the range. The supplier rates it for lemons, limes, oranges, potatoes, zucchini and tomatoes and specifies that it will not bruise the product. It is a hand-operated machine on a 200 x 200 mm footprint, so it needs no power, no outlet and no electrician.
Why operators choose the NEW0010
- Ten sections per push — the thin wedge. Ten sections suits smaller citrus, where six or eight would give pieces too thick to sit neatly on a rim, and it stretches a case of lemons considerably further across a high-volume bar
- One motion, identical every time — the produce is seated and pushed once. Every wedge off the machine is the same, which is what stops garnish portioning drifting across a busy bar shift
- Will not bruise the product — the supplier's stated claim, and the reason this style of wedger is specified for citrus that sits on a glass rim in front of a customer
- Rated for firm produce, not just citrus — lemons, limes and oranges, but also potatoes, zucchini and tomatoes - so it earns its keep on a kitchen bench as well as behind a bar
- 200 x 200 mm footprint, 2 kg — the smallest footprint and the lightest machine in the Nemco manual range we carry. It fits on a bar station where nothing else will
- Nothing to plug in — no power, no outlet and no electrician - which matters behind a bar, where outlets are scarce and usually already spoken for

Venue suitability
Built for volume garnish - a busy public bar or nightclub, a stadium or events bar, a high-turnover cafe cutting lemon for water and tea service, or any venue where the cost per garnish across a case of fruit is worth managing. Where the wedge is eaten rather than squeezed, the six-section model gives a far more substantial piece.

Installation & delivery
Nothing to connect and nothing to commission. Allow a 200 x 200 mm square of bench or bar top and clearance above the 480 mm body for the plunger to lift clear. At 2 kg it can be moved between a bar station and a prep bench during a shift, or lifted down and stripped for washing. There is no outlet, no switchboard work and no electrician involved. Dispatched Australia-wide.
Also available as the NEW0006 in six sections and the NEW0008 in eight sections.

Frequently asked questions
Q: How many wedges does this model cut?
Ten sections. The section count is the only difference between the three Easy Wedger models - the body, the footprint, the weight and the warranty are identical across all three, so choose purely on the wedge you want on the plate.
Q: Does it need power?
No. It is a hand-operated pusher - no motor, no lead, no plug. No outlet, no switchboard work and no electrician are needed to put it into service.
Q: What produce will it handle?
The supplier lists lemons, limes, oranges, potatoes, zucchini and tomatoes among others, and specifies that it will not bruise the product. It is built for firm produce that holds its shape against the blade.
Q: Will it bruise soft produce like tomatoes?
The supplier states the machine will not bruise product and names tomatoes in its own list. On very ripe fruit we would still expect the result to depend on how ripe it is, so treat the claim as being about the cutting action rather than a guarantee for any condition of fruit.
Q: Does the photograph show this exact model?
Not verifiably. All three Easy Wedger models share the same external body and the section count sits inside the blade assembly, so treat the photograph on this listing as representative of the range. The machine supplied is the ten-section NEW0010, Nemco code 55550-10, as specified above.
Q: What warranty does it carry?
Twelve months, back to base. A warranty repair is carried out at the service agent's workshop and the machine is returned to you, rather than a technician attending your site. Full terms are on our warranty information page.
