Orved VMO0040 IDEA 40 Vacuum Sealer

The Orved VMO0040 is a chamber vacuum sealer with a 16 m3/h pump, a 438 x 444 x 190 mm chamber and a 410mm sealing bar. A chamber machine evacuates the whole chamber rather than the bag mouth, so it handles liquids and runs on plain flat pouches.

Frequently asked questions

Q: How much faster is this than the IDEA 30?

The pump is double the displacement - 16 m3/h against 8 - so it evacuates a comparable load in roughly half the time, and it reaches a deeper vacuum on a large chamber. The chamber is also considerably bigger at 438 x 444 mm against 334 x 347 mm, though the 190 mm internal height is the same.

Q: What bag width will it seal?

Up to the 410 mm sealing bar, laid flat. That is 100 mm more than the IDEA 30.

Q: Is it the same shelf accessory as the IDEA 30?

No, and this catches people out. The IDEA 30 takes the XVMO2072 sloping shelf and this model takes the XVMO2073. Both are sold separately. Order against the model, not the range.

Q: Can it handle liquids?

Yes. A chamber machine evacuates the whole chamber, so there is no differential pulling liquid out of the bag. The optional sloping shelf improves it further.

Q: Does it need special wiring?

No. Standard 240 V outlet at 0.8 kW.
