Q: What is this plate made from?

We are not able to confirm it. The product title, the SKU and the supplier's own category describe a sugarcane plate, while the supplier description calls it paperboard and a white paper plate throughout and never mentions sugarcane. Bagasse and paperboard are different materials with different disposal routes - bagasse composts under commercial conditions, coated paperboard is recycled. Because the two sources contradict each other we have published neither, and we would ask you not to repeat an environmental claim from this listing until it is confirmed. Contact our team and we will check with the supplier.

Q: Is it FSC certified?

The supplier records an FSC claim, but we have not published it. FSC certifies forest fibre, so the claim would be coherent for a paperboard plate and not for a sugarcane one - and the material itself is contradictory on this listing. We would rather leave it off than pass on a certification we cannot stand behind.
