Installation & delivery

Supplied as a carton of 500. The carton measures 610 x 290 x 350 mm with a gross weight of 6.0 kg. Freight on a light, bulky carton like this is calculated on its cubic volume rather than its gross weight, so the shipping weight shown at checkout is the higher of the two. Store flat and dry.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Does this lid definitely fit the ST-08 tray?

The supplier records it as the lid for the ST-08, and that is what we have published - but there is a dimension query we would rather raise than hide. Our records put this lid at 170 x 110 mm and the ST-08 tray top at 165 x 115 mm: wider in one axis and 5 mm narrower in the other. On the other two pairs in this range the lid is larger than its tray in both axes (ST-15 tray 216 x 136 against a 220 x 138 lid; ST-04 tray 164 x 89 against a 165 x 95 lid), which is what a snap-over lid should look like. We have published both recorded figures rather than pick one, and we have flagged it with the supplier. If you are ordering the pair for the first time, ask us for a sample before committing to a carton.

Q: Is this lid FSC certified?

Our data records an FSC certification against this lid and we have not published it. FSC is a forest-products certification covering paper and timber fibre, and this is a PET plastic lid - there is no forest fibre in it for FSC to certify, so the claim is not simply unverified, it is impossible. We have left it off and flagged the record for correction. PET is genuinely recyclable, and that is the claim you can stand behind.

Q: How many lids come in a carton?

500. The carton measures 610 x 290 x 350 mm and has a gross weight of 6.0 kg.

Q: Can the lid go in the compost with the tray?

No. The ST-08 tray is compostable bagasse and this lid is PET plastic. They are different waste streams and need separating before disposal.

Q: What warranty applies?
