The PakMax ST-08 is a sugarcane bagasse sushi tray measuring 165 x 115 mm with a 21 mm depth, supplied in a carton of 500. It is commercially compostable, rigid and moisture resistant. Please read the lid FAQ before ordering the ST-08-LID with it.

Installation & delivery

Supplied as a carton of 500. The carton measures 580 x 290 x 240 mm with a gross weight of 6.5 kg. Freight on a light, bulky carton like this is calculated on its cubic volume rather than its gross weight, so the shipping weight shown at checkout is the higher of the two. Store flat and dry.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Which lid fits the ST-08, and what is the dimension query?

The ST-08-LID, sold separately and 500 to a carton like the tray. There is one thing worth raising before you order: our records put the ST-08 tray top at 165 x 115 mm and the ST-08-LID at 170 x 110 mm - wider in one axis and 5 mm narrower in the other. On the other two pairs in this range the lid is larger than its tray in both axes (ST-15 tray 216 x 136 against a 220 x 138 lid; ST-04 tray 164 x 89 against a 165 x 95 lid), which is what a snap-over lid should look like. We have published both recorded figures rather than pick one, and we have flagged it with the supplier. If you are ordering the pair for the first time, ask us for a sample before committing to a carton.

Q: Is it compostable or recyclable?

Commercially compostable. Bagasse breaks down in an industrial composting facility, and it resists grease naturally rather than through a plastic lining. Home composting is a different standard and is not claimed. The ST-08-LID is PET plastic and goes to a different waste stream.
