The Prisma Food PMG-9 is a single-deck GAS pizza and bakery oven cooking 9 pizzas at 30 cm, on a stone sole reaching 400 °C. It runs on natural gas at 97 MJ/h through a 3/4 inch inlet and must be installed by a licensed gasfitter. It is the only gas oven in this range — every other Prisma Food deck oven we carry is electric.
Why operators choose the PMG-9
- Gas, not electric - and that changes the installation entirely — 97 MJ/h through a 3/4 inch inlet, installed by a licensed gasfitter. If your site has gas this is often cheaper to run than a 20 kW electric deck oven; if it does not, the connection is a significant job. Settle it before anything else
- 9 pizzas at 30 cm on a single deck — a 920 x 920 mm interior, which is a genuinely large single chamber
- Stone sole interior — stone absorbs and returns heat to the base of the dough, which is what crisps it. It is the reason to buy a deck oven rather than a convection oven
- 400 degrees C — real pizza temperature on gas
- German EGO controls and a temperature read-out — named controls and a displayed temperature rather than a dial position
- Rock wool insulation — most of what makes a 400 degree C oven economical to run and safe to work beside
- Viewing window and internal lighting — check the bake without opening the door and dropping the deck temperature

Venue suitability
This oven suits pizzerias, clubs and bakeries with a natural gas connection already available. At 1,305 mm wide, 1,362 mm deep and 164 kg it is a substantial installation. The electric Prisma Food deck ovens in the same range are the alternative if gas is not available at your site.

Installation & delivery
This is a natural gas appliance rated at 97 MJ/h with a 3/4 inch gas inlet, and it must be installed by a licensed gasfitter. That is a legal requirement in Australia, not a recommendation. Confirm your gas supply can carry 97 MJ/h alongside your existing appliances before ordering — an undersized supply is a common and expensive discovery on commissioning day. Dimensions are recorded width x depth x height: 1,305 x 1,362 x 560 mm externally, 920 x 920 x 150 mm internally, weighing 164 kg. A gas deck oven needs appropriate ventilation over it — confirm the requirement with your gasfitter and your mechanical contractor, because our data does not state a clearance or extraction specification.
Warranty terms are per product — see our warranty information page.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What does installation involve?
A licensed gasfitter, without exception - it is a legal requirement in Australia for a gas appliance. The oven takes a 3/4 inch inlet and is rated at 97 MJ/h. Before ordering, have your gasfitter confirm your supply can deliver 97 MJ/h alongside whatever else is connected; an undersized supply is discovered at commissioning, which is the worst time.
Q: Gas or electric - which should I choose?
Mostly it depends on what your site already has. If natural gas is connected and has capacity, gas is usually cheaper to run than the equivalent electric deck oven - the two-chamber electric Prisma Food oven in this range draws 20.4 kW of three-phase power. If you have no gas connection, the electric ovens avoid a significant gas installation. Either way the cooking result on a stone sole at 400 degrees C is comparable.
Q: How many pizzas does it hold?
Nine at 30 cm, on a single deck with a 920 x 920 mm interior. That is a large single chamber - the electric two-chamber model in this range does 12 at 35 cm across two decks.
Q: Does it need extraction?
Our data does not state a ventilation or clearance specification for this oven. A gas deck oven at 400 degrees C will need appropriate extraction, and the requirement depends on your local regulations and the room - so confirm it with your gasfitter and mechanical contractor rather than assuming. We would rather tell you the figure is not recorded than guess at it.
Q: What warranty does it carry?
Two years parts and labour, with both of our records agreeing on that.
