The Prismafood DSA420RP is an Italian-made bench-top pizza dough roller built for pizzerias, restaurants and bakeries pressing pizza bases up to 40 cm on demand. Two adjustable rollers thin the dough cleanly from 0 to 4 mm without overworking it, preserving the gluten structure that proper Neapolitan and Roman bases need. Foot-pedal operation keeps both hands on the dough, and the unit sits on any commercial bench, running off a standard 10 A outlet.
Key features
- 40 cm base capacity — presses standard family-pizza diameter and smaller in a single pass
- 0–4 mm adjustable thickness — from thin Roman crust through to thicker pan-pizza bases
- Foot-pedal operation — hands stay on the dough, not on a switch
- Electromechanical control — simple and serviceable, with no failure-prone PCBs
- Stainless steel construction — food-safe and quick to wipe down
- Made in Italy by Prismafood, an established commercial dough-machinery manufacturer

Venue suitability
Built for pizzerias, Italian restaurants, takeaway pizza shops and catering kitchens running pizza nights. Within its 0–4 mm range it also handles bread dough, pie crust and cake bases, making it useful in mixed bakery-and-pizza operations. It is a strong fit for venues pressing roughly 30–80 bases per service; very high-volume sites should compare it against heavier machines in the full range of dough rollers and rounders.
Installation & delivery
The DSA420RP sits on any commercial bench — allow a 540 × 410 mm footprint plus operator clearance — and plugs into a standard 240 V 10 A wall outlet, so no special wiring is needed. The foot pedal connects to the unit, so allow trailing cable space underneath. It ships as a 38 kg net unit on a pallet or as a bulk parcel, and is backed by 2 years parts & labour from delivery. Frequently asked questions
What size pizza bases does the DSA420RP roll?
Up to 40 cm in diameter. Smaller bases roll fine through the same machine — adjust the thickness dial and feed a smaller dough ball.
Will it overwork the dough?
No — the twin-roller pass is engineered to preserve gluten structure rather than shred it. Many pizzaiolos who hand-stretch for premium service still use a roller for back-of-house bases or volume nights without affecting crust quality.
Does it run on standard Australian power?
Yes — 230 V single-phase on a standard 10 A outlet. No special wiring is required.
How does the foot pedal work?
The pedal triggers the roller motor, leaving both hands free to feed and catch the dough. Releasing the pedal stops the rollers immediately, which helps with both safety and short-pass dough.
Can I use it for bread or pastry as well as pizza?
Yes. Within the 0–4 mm range it handles bread dough, pie crust, cake bases and similar — anything that benefits from a calibrated thickness pass. Avoid hard fondant or non-dough sheets.
