Saro Bonnie HLS2250 Heat Lamp 250W Adjustable Copper

The Saro Bonnie (HLS2250) is a suspended heat lamp with a copper finish shade of 225 mm diameter, adjustable in drop from 60 to 130 cm. It runs a 250 W Teflon-coated globe on a standard E27 screw fitting, with the on/off switch on the shade itself.

• Teflon-coated globe — the coating holds the glass together if the globe ever shatters, so fragments are contained rather than falling into the food below. On a pass that is the reason to specify a coated globe rather than a plain one.
• Adjustable drop, 60 to 130 cm — the same lamp suits a low plating bench or a high pass. Drop height is what sets the intensity at the plate, so the adjustment is the control.
• Standard E27 screw fitting — replacement globes are an ordinary stocked item rather than a proprietary part, which matters when one blows mid-service.
• Switch on the shade — the lamp is switched where it hangs instead of at a wall point, so a chef turns it off at the pass without leaving the section.
