The Simcohood DH1800-750 is an 1,800 mm ductless exhaust hood — a recirculating system for premises where running ductwork to outside is not feasible. Instead of exhausting air, it filters grease, smoke and odours and returns the air to the room, which is what makes it viable in a tenancy, a food court or a mobile setup. That also makes the filters the whole system: they are a genuine ongoing cost and an ongoing responsibility, not a fit-and-forget item.
Why operators choose the DH1800-750-SM
- Ductless - it filters and recirculates rather than exhausting — the reason to choose it, and the thing to understand before you do. Air goes back into the room after filtration. That solves an infrastructure problem and creates a maintenance one
- No ductwork to install — in a leased tenancy, a food court or a site where penetrating the building is not an option, this is often the only workable ventilation
- High-efficiency filtration for grease, smoke and odour — the filters do the work a duct would otherwise do. Their condition is what determines whether the system is actually working
- Easily accessible filters and components — the manufacturer's own emphasis, and the right one - a filter that is hard to reach is a filter that does not get changed
- 1,800 mm wide, 750 mm deep — a substantial canopy width covering a full appliance run
- Stainless construction for demanding environments — the manufacturer's stated build quality for commercial kitchen conditions
- 2 years parts and labour — both our records agree on a full two-year term including labour, which is better than many canopies carry
- Suits cafes through to food trucks — the manufacturer's stated range - the format exists precisely for sites without infrastructure

Venue suitability
The DH1800-750 suits leased tenancies, food courts, shopping-centre kitchens, mobile and pop-up operations — anywhere the building cannot be penetrated for ductwork. It is a solution to an infrastructure constraint rather than a first-choice alternative to a ducted canopy.

Installation & delivery
Two things must be confirmed with our team before ordering, and neither is on this page. First, what appliances you intend to put under it — ductless hoods carry an appliance-type and heat-load limit, and this model's limit is not recorded in our data. Second, the electrical supply, which is also unrecorded, so no circuit can be planned from here. Beyond that: a recirculating hood returns filtered air to the room, so it does not remove heat the way a ducted canopy does — factor that into your kitchen's cooling. Budget for filter replacement from day one, and involve your mechanical contractor and your local authority, because whether a ductless system is acceptable at your site is a compliance question, not a product one.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What appliances can I put under it?
We cannot tell you from this product's data, and this is the most important question to resolve before ordering. Ductless hoods are typically rated for electric appliances up to a stated heat load - our record for the 1500 mm model in this range states a limit of that kind, but nothing equivalent is recorded for the 1800. We are not going to apply another model's figure to this one. Contact our team with your appliance list before you order.
Q: Is a ductless hood as good as a ducted one?
It solves a different problem. A ducted canopy removes air, heat and contaminants from the building entirely. A ductless hood filters contaminants and returns the air, so the kitchen stays hotter and the filters carry the whole load. Where ductwork is possible, ducted is generally the better outcome; where it is not, this makes the kitchen workable at all.
Q: What are the running costs?
Filters. They are the working part of a ductless system and they need replacing on a schedule - budget for that as an ongoing cost rather than a one-off. The manufacturer emphasises that filters and components are easily accessible, which matters because a filter that is awkward to reach tends not to get changed.
Q: What electrical supply does it need?
Our data does not record it - no voltage, wattage or amperage on this model. A hood has fans and therefore needs a supply, so contact our team for the figures before booking an electrician.
Q: Will it satisfy my local requirements?
That is a compliance question for your local authority and your mechanical contractor, not something a product page can answer. Ductless systems are accepted in many situations and not in others, and it depends on the premises and what you are cooking. Get it confirmed before you commit.
Q: What warranty does the DH1800-750-SM come with?
Covered for 2 years parts and labour. Terms vary by product — see our warranty information page for full details.
