The Sunmixer T9870-C is a container and jug rinser supplied with a hose, measuring 150 mm in diameter and 342.2 mm long. It connects on M22 x 1 and comes with a 55 mm adaptor. It is rated to 85 °C with a 0.4 MPa safety pressure.
Why operators choose the T9870-C
- It comes with a hose, which is what makes it a CONTAINER rinser — a fixed counter-top rinse head works for glasses because you invert them over it. A 20 litre container or a stock pot cannot be inverted over anything - the hose is what lets you take the water to the vessel instead
- Supplied with a 55 mm adaptor — an adaptor is included rather than sold separately, which is worth knowing before you order fittings
- M22 x 1 install connection — a different thread from the counter-top glass rinsers in this range, which use G1/2. Tell your plumber which one you are fitting
- Rated to 85 degrees C — hot water is within specification, which matters more here than on a glass rinser - containers that held dairy or fat rinse far better hot
- 0.4 MPa safety pressure — about 4 bar. If your mains runs higher, fit a pressure limiting valve
- 150 mm diameter, 342.2 mm long — a cylindrical fitting rather than a flat tray - the dimensions to plan around are the diameter and the length

Venue suitability
This rinser suits bars, cafes, juice counters and kitchens rinsing jugs, containers and vessels that cannot be inverted over a counter-top rinse head. If you are rinsing glassware rather than containers, the counter-top glass rinsers in the same range are the better fit — and note they use a different plumbing connection.

Installation & delivery
It connects on M22 x 1 and is supplied with a 55 mm adaptor. Note this is a different thread from the counter-top glass rinsers in this range, which use G1/2 — make sure your plumber knows which fitting is coming. Check your mains pressure against the 0.4 MPa (about 4 bar) safety figure and fit a pressure limiting valve if the site runs higher. The unit is 150 mm in diameter and 342.2 mm long, packing at 390 x 580 x 71.66 mm. Our data records no weight.

Frequently asked questions
Q: How is this different from a glass rinser?
The hose. A counter-top glass rinser has a fixed head that you invert a glass over - which works because a glass is small and light. A 20 litre container, a stock pot or a large jug cannot be inverted over a fixed head, so this model puts the water on a hose and you take it to the vessel. If you are rinsing glassware, the counter-top models in this range are the right choice.
Q: What connection does the plumber need?
M22 x 1, and a 55 mm adaptor is supplied with it. Worth flagging that this is a different thread from the counter-top glass rinsers in the same range, which connect on G1/2 - so if you are ordering both, tell your plumber that two different fittings are coming.
Q: Can it run on hot water?
It is rated to a maximum working temperature of 85 degrees C, so yes. On a container rinser that matters more than on a glass rinser: vessels that have held milk, cream or fat rinse far more effectively hot than cold.
Q: What pressure does it need?
The recorded safety pressure is 0.4 MPa, about 4 bar, with a stated tolerance of plus or minus 10%. That is a ceiling, not a requirement - if your mains runs above it, a pressure limiting valve is the fix and it is a cheap part.
Q: What size is it?
150 mm in diameter and 342.2 mm long - it is a cylindrical fitting rather than a flat tray, so plan around the diameter and the length rather than a footprint.
