Sunmixer Large Glass Rinsers Counter Top Model T9860-C

The Sunmixer T9860-C is a counter-top glass rinser with a single 120 mm rinse head on the side, built in 304 stainless steel with rounded corners and a drainage tray. It is rated to 85 °C with a 0.4 MPa safety pressure and connects on G1/2.

Q: What pressure does it need?

The recorded safety pressure is 0.4 MPa, which is about 4 bar. That is a limit rather than a requirement - if your mains runs above it, fit a pressure limiting valve. It is a cheap part and it is far cheaper than a burst fitting behind a bar.

Q: Can it be plumbed to hot water?

It is rated to a working temperature of 85 degrees C, so hot water is within its specification. Whether you want hot depends on what you are rinsing - hot rinses better on milk residue, cold is enough for most glassware.

Q: What connection does the plumber need?

G1/2 - a standard half-inch thread. No adaptors or special parts, which keeps the plumbing job short.

Q: How does it differ from the double version?

Rinse heads. This model has one 120 mm head on the side; the T9860-C-DF has a head on each side, 395.2 mm apart. Both are 645 x 217 mm in the same 304 stainless with the same pressure and temperature ratings, so the choice is simply whether one station or two suits how your bar works.

Q: What are the rounded corners for?

Practicality rather than looks. A counter-top fitting on a wet bar gets knocked and wiped constantly; rounded corners are easier to clean around and less likely to catch. The double version's specification does not mention them.
