Tecnodom 5-Tray Blast Chiller and Shock Freezer DO5EA

The Tecnodom DO5EA is a 5-tray blast chiller and shock freezer that takes cooked food from +65 to +3 degrees C, or down to -40 degrees C to shock freeze. It is built to HACCP specification and runs on R290, a low global-warming-potential refrigerant (GWP 3). A core probe and digital control run the cycle by food temperature rather than by timer.

Installation & delivery

The unit stands on adjustable stainless steel feet with 60-80 mm of travel, which is why two heights are recorded: 890 mm with the feet down and 910 mm at full extension. Allow for the taller figure and for a level floor. It runs on 240 V drawing 1292 W and the manufacturer specifies a 10 A outlet; have a licensed electrician confirm the circuit. The door is self-closing with the hinges on the LEFT, so check the swing against your layout before siting it. At 92 kg net it is not a one-person reposition.
