Q: How many cups a day is it actually rated for?

The manufacturer rates the JAC-30 at 100 cups per day. That is a duty rating rather than a maximum - treat it as the volume the machine is built to sustain day after day. For roughly double that, the JAC-38A is rated at up to 200 cups per day.

Q: Does it need to be plumbed in?

No. It runs from a 2 L water tank as supplied, with an 8 L tank available on request. That makes it straightforward to place where plumbing is not available, at the cost of refilling it.

Q: How is the milk kept cold?

An optional MCC-10L 4 L fresh milk refrigerator holds milk at 0 to +5 degrees C. It is an optional item, not supplied with the machine, so add it if you are running fresh milk.
