Watermark certification means a plumber can connect water supply and waste without additional approvals. The integrated drain pump lets the waste line be routed flexibly under the bench. Q: Why does it need 15A power instead of standard 10A? A: Underbench dishwashers heat water to 85°C for the rinse cycle, which draws 2.8 kW from the boiler element. That puts the total load above what a standard 10A wall outlet can sustain. Most commercial kitchens already have 15A circuits available; if not, a licensed electrician needs to install one before delivery.

Q: What's the difference between this and an underbench glasswasher? A: Glasswashers (e.g. Blastwash AT40U) have a smaller 400×400 mm rack and are tuned for delicate, fast cycles for glasses only. The GE-500BDD has a larger 500×500 mm rack, longer cycle options, and stronger wash power — built for plates, pans, and mixed dishware. Bars typically run both: glasswasher for glasses, dishwasher for plates.
