The Tyrone B20GX is a 20 litre heavy duty planetary mixer with 10 variable speeds on a belt-and-variable-frequency drive, and it memorises your preferred mixing speed. All three attachments are included — wire whisk, dough hook and flat beater — so it is ready to work on arrival. It draws 1,000 W from a standard 10 A outlet.
Why operators choose the B20GX
- All three attachments included — wire whisk, dough hook and flat beater - no separate accessory purchase before you can use it
- 10 variable speeds via a variable frequency drive — genuinely variable rather than a few fixed gears, so you can fold at a crawl and whip at speed on the same machine
- Memorises your preferred speed — the setting survives a staff change rather than being re-guessed each shift
- Digital timer with front-mounted controls — you can set and read it from where you stand, not by reaching around the machine
- Steel body in scratch-resistant materials — it still looks serviceable after a year on a bakery bench
- Tolerates large current fluctuations — protects the motor on a site with unstable supply, which is a real risk in older buildings and food courts
- Overload and overheating protection plus error codes — it stops itself and then tells you why
- Patented power system running cooler and quieter — less heat into the room and less noise into the service area
- Moisture and corrosion resistant — built for a room that gets washed down
- Runs from a standard 10 A outlet — 1,000 W, so no electrical work

Frequently asked questions
Q: Which attachments come with the B20GX?
Three: a wire whisk, a dough hook and a flat beater. They are included, so nothing else is needed before you start.
Q: What is the advantage of a variable frequency drive over fixed speeds?
It gives genuinely variable speed instead of a handful of gear steps, so you can fold delicate mixes slowly and whip at high speed on the same machine, and the drive ramps rather than jolting the load.
Q: Does it need special wiring?
No. It draws 1,000 W at 240 V and runs from a standard 10 A power point.
Q: Is it protected if the site has unstable power?
It is specified to tolerate large current fluctuations to avoid motor damage, and it also carries overload and overheating protection with an error code system so you can see why it stopped.
Q: What is the difference between the B20GX and the larger B60GX?
Bowl size, principally - 20 litres against 60. They share the variable frequency drive, the ten speeds, the speed memory and the same three included attachments. The larger machine also has automatic bowl positioning adjustment with a trolley, which the 20 litre model does not.
Q: What warranty does the B20GX come with?
Covered for 1 year on parts and labour. A further year of parts-only cover applies only if you register the product within 14 days of invoice — miss that window and the second year does not apply. Terms vary by product — see our warranty information page for full details.
