The BakerMax HX-14EP is an electric conveyor pizza oven with a 14 inch belt and adjustable conveyor speed. Top and bottom elements are controlled independently by EGO thermostats, which is what lets you balance base crispness against topping colour rather than accepting one setting. Heating is by durable quartz heater, and there are crumb trays at both ends. It needs a 15 A supply.
Why operators choose the HX-14EP
- Conveyor, not a deck — product goes in one end and comes out the other at a set time and temperature - the output does not depend on the operator watching the clock, which is why conveyors suit high-turnover and casual-staffed sites
- Independent top and bottom element control — the single most useful control on a conveyor oven: more bottom heat for a crisp base, less top heat to stop the cheese colouring early
- Adjustable conveyor speed — bake time is set by belt speed, so you tune it to your dough and topping load rather than reformulating around the oven
- EGO thermostats — a recognised control brand rather than an unbranded thermostat, which matters when one eventually needs replacing
- Durable quartz heaters — quartz comes to temperature fast and handles the constant cycling a conveyor oven puts an element through
- Adjustable locking plate at both ends — the entry and exit openings can be closed down to reduce heat loss, which lifts efficiency on a small oven
- Crumb trays at both ends — the mess a conveyor makes is caught rather than baked onto the base
- Stainless steel body with adjustable legs — levels on an uneven bench, and the legs and knobs are stainless too

Venue suitability
The HX-14EP suits pizza shops, cafes, clubs, canteens and food courts wanting consistent output from staff who are not chefs. A conveyor removes judgement from the bake, which is exactly what a high-turnover or casually-staffed site needs. Plan bench space for the 1029 mm overall length, not the 450 mm body.

Installation & delivery
It needs a 15 A supply. A 15 A plug has a larger earth pin and will not fit a standard 10 A socket, so confirm the circuit or budget for an electrician. Measure against 1029 mm, not 450 mm: our data records both figures because the conveyor extends well beyond the oven body at each end. Leave clearance for product to enter and exit, and for heat around the openings. At 39 kg it is a one or two-person lift, and the adjustable stainless legs level it on an uneven bench. The manufacturer recommends a black pizza tray with this oven.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Why choose a conveyor oven over a deck oven?
Consistency without skill. The belt sets the bake time and the thermostats set the temperature, so the product that comes out does not depend on someone remembering when it went in. That suits high turnover and casual staffing. A deck oven gives more control to a skilled operator.
Q: What does independent top and bottom element control give me?
Balance. More bottom heat crisps the base; less top heat stops the cheese colouring before the base is done. With a single control you have to compromise between the two.
Q: How much bench space does it need?
More than it first appears. The oven body is 450 mm wide but the overall width including the conveyor is 1029 mm, because the belt extends beyond the body at both ends. Measure against 1029 mm.
Q: Will it run from a standard power point?
No. At 3.6 kW it needs a 15 A supply. A 15 A plug has a larger earth pin and will not fit a standard 10 A socket, so confirm the circuit or budget for an electrician.
Q: Is there a recommended tray?
The manufacturer recommends a black pizza tray with this oven. Black absorbs radiant heat more effectively, which suits a conveyor's fixed bake time.
Q: What warranty does the HX-14EP come with?
Covered for 2 years on parts and labour. Terms vary by product — see our warranty information page for full details.
