The Baker Max HX-1E is a bench-top pizza conveyor oven rated at 16 x 300 mm pizzas an hour, with a 1080 mm belt 358 mm wide and a 60 mm tunnel clearance. Belt speed is variable and a single switch reverses the direction. It is stackable and has a safe-to-touch, fan-cooled exterior. Note the supply: 6.7 kW drawing about 28 A, which is more than any standard outlet.

Why operators choose the HX-1E

  • Consistency without skill — the belt sets the bake time and the thermostat sets the temperature, so what comes out does not depend on who put it in. That is why conveyors suit high-turnover and casually-staffed sites
  • One-switch belt direction change — load and unload from whichever side suits your layout, and reverse it later if the layout changes - most conveyors are fixed
  • Stackable — two ovens in one footprint doubles output without doubling bench, which is the standard way conveyor capacity is scaled
  • Safe-to-touch, fan-cooled exterior — it sits on a bench in a working kitchen where people brush past it - a cool exterior is a real burn-risk reduction
  • Variable belt speed on a mechanical knob — bake time is tuned to your dough and topping load rather than reformulating around the oven
  • 60 mm tunnel clearance — the figure that decides what actually fits - a deep-dish or a loaded base will not go through a shallower tunnel
  • 1080 mm belt, 358 mm wide — enough belt length for a proper bake at speed, and wide enough for a 300 mm base
  • Sits on a bench — no floor space committed, unlike a deck oven
  • Economical to run — the manufacturer's own framing, and it follows from a fan-cooled, insulated tunnel

Venue suitability

The HX-1E suits pizza shops, cafes, clubs, canteens and food courts wanting consistent output from staff who are not chefs. Plan bench space against the 1510 mm overall length rather than the 1125 mm body, and settle the electrical supply first — at 28 A it is not a plug-in oven.

Installation & delivery

This oven must be hard-wired by a licensed electrician. At 6.7 kW on 240 V it draws about 28 A, which is well beyond a 15 A outlet and above a 20 A circuit — in practice that means a dedicated higher-rated circuit, and your electrician will specify it. Do not plan on plugging this in. Measure against 1510 mm, not 1125 mm: our data records both figures because the conveyor extends beyond the oven body at each end. Leave clearance for product to enter and exit, and for heat around the openings. At 50 kg it is a two-person lift.

Frequently asked questions

Q: What electrical supply does the HX-1E need?

More than a power point. At 6.7 kW on 240 V it draws roughly 28 A, which is above both a 15 A and a 20 A circuit, so it needs a dedicated higher-rated circuit hard-wired by a licensed electrician. We are giving you the kW and the calculated draw rather than naming a circuit size, because that is your electrician's call. Settle it before ordering.

Q: How much bench space does it need?

More than it first appears. The oven body is 1125 mm wide but the overall width including the conveyor is 1510 mm, because the belt extends beyond the body at both ends. Measure against 1510 mm.

Q: What will actually fit through the tunnel?

The tunnel clearance is 60 mm. That takes a standard base with normal toppings; a deep-dish or a heavily loaded pizza may not pass. Check your product height against 60 mm before ordering.

Q: Can the belt run in either direction?

Yes - a single switch reverses it, so you can load and unload from whichever side suits your kitchen layout, and change it later if the layout does.

Q: Can I stack two of them?

Yes, the oven is designed to be stackable. That is the normal way to double conveyor output without taking more bench, though it doubles the electrical load so factor that into the circuit conversation.

Q: What warranty does the HX-1E come with?

Covered for 2 years on parts and labour. Terms vary by product — see our warranty information page for full details.
