The BakerMax EP-1T is a compact countertop single-deck electric pizza oven with a ceramic hearth and a 400 x 400 mm stone, running from 50 to 350 °C. It draws 2 kW from a 10 A supply and stands only 275 mm high at 24 kg — the smallest and simplest oven in this range to install.
Why operators choose the EP-1T
- Only 275 mm high and 24 kg — it fits under a shelf and one person can lift it, which the double-deck models at 435 mm and 33 kg do not
- 2 kW on a 10 A supply with real headroom — 2 kW at 240 V is about 8.3 A, so unlike the 2.4 kW double-deck model this one is not sitting at the top of the circuit
- Ceramic hearth, not a metal deck — stone holds and releases heat into the base of the dough, which is what gives a crisp bottom rather than a pale one
- Same 400 x 400 mm stone as the double-deck models — you are not trading base size for the smaller cabinet - only the number of decks changes
- 50 to 350 degrees C — hot enough for a proper pizza bake and low enough to be useful for other work
- Temperature-reach indicator light — you know when it is actually at temperature instead of guessing from the timer
- 60-minute timer with a bell — an audible timer matters on a bench oven that sits below eye level
- Viewing window and internal lighting — you watch the bake without opening the door and dropping the cavity temperature
- Drop-down door, bakelite handle, rubber feet — the door opens out of the way, the handle stays cool, and the feet stop it walking on a bench

Venue suitability
The EP-1T suits cafes, bars, clubs, food trucks and function kitchens adding pizza in modest volume, or wanting a second oven for finishing. It is the easiest oven in this range to fit — 275 mm high, 24 kg, and comfortably inside a 10 A circuit.

Installation & delivery
It runs from a standard 10 A power point, so no electrical work is required. At 2 kW it draws about 8.3 A, so unlike the 2.4 kW double-deck model it has genuine headroom on a 10 A circuit. It is only 275 mm high and 561 mm deep, so it fits under most wall units — leave clearance around it for heat and in front for the drop-down door. At 24 kg it is a one-person lift.
Frequently asked questions
Q: How does the EP-1T compare with the double-deck EP-2T?
One deck instead of two, and a much smaller cabinet - 275 mm high and 24 kg against 435 mm and 33 kg. The cavity and stone are the same size, so your pizza does not get smaller; you simply bake one at a time. It also draws less power at 2 kW against 2.4 kW.
Q: Will it run from a standard power point?
Yes, comfortably. At 2 kW it draws about 8.3 A on a 10 A circuit, so it has real headroom - unlike the 2.4 kW double-deck model, which sits right at the limit and wants a dedicated circuit.
Q: What size pizza will it take?
The stone is 400 x 400 mm inside a 410 x 420 x 120 mm cavity, so it suits bases up to around 400 mm - the same as the double-deck models in this range.
Q: Why does a ceramic hearth matter?
Stone stores heat and releases it into the base of the dough on contact, which is what produces a crisp cooked bottom. A metal deck tends to leave the base pale unless the oven is run much hotter.
Q: Can it be used for anything other than pizza?
The 50 to 350 degrees C range makes it usable for general baking and reheating, though the ceramic hearth and the shallow 120 mm cavity are optimised for flat products. It is a pizza oven first.
Q: What warranty does the EP-1T come with?
Covered for 2 years on parts and labour. Terms vary by product — see our warranty information page for full details.
