The Jasper JA-3CB is a triple gas wok burner with chimney burners, available in natural gas or LPG. Three woks working at once is the point: a wok station is a one-dish-at-a-time operation, so the burner count is the throughput. The chimney design concentrates heat into a tight central column, which is what a round-bottomed wok needs — choose the duckbill version if you cook in flat-bottomed pans. It runs 1,800 mm wide at bench height and weighs 180 kg.
Why operators choose the JA-3CB-N-SM
- Three chimney burners - three woks at once — the throughput argument. A single wok burner is a bottleneck on an Asian menu; three lets one cook run dishes in parallel
- Chimney burners, not duckbill — concentrated heat up into the base of a round-bottomed wok, which is what produces genuine stir-fry heat. Duckbill burners spread heat for flat-bottomed pans - a different job
- Natural gas or LPG, ordered as a variant — select your gas above; the SKU changes with it. Order the wrong one and it will not connect to your supply
- 1,800 mm wide at 1,180 mm working height — a full three-station wok line that aligns with standard bench height
- 180 kg — weight on a wok range is thermal mass and structure - a light unit flexes and loses heat between dishes
- 900 mm deep — deep enough to take full-size woks with room to work behind them
- Built for high-volume service — the manufacturer's positioning, and the burner count supports it

Venue suitability
The JA-3CB suits Asian restaurants, noodle bars, food courts and any high-volume kitchen where wok cooking is the core of the menu. If you are adding a single wok station rather than building a line, the single-burner JA-1CB in the same range is the smaller commitment.

Installation & delivery
Gas connection must be carried out by a licensed gasfitter — it is a legal requirement in every Australian state and it is what keeps your insurance and the warranty intact. Confirm your gas type before ordering — natural gas and LPG are separate SKUs, not a site-convertible setting. Our product data records no MJ/h output figure, and your gasfitter will need it to size the supply for three burners, so ask our team before booking the work. At 1,800 mm and 180 kg this is a multi-person placement on a floor that can carry it. Three wok burners at full output need serious canopy extraction — involve your mechanical contractor early, because this is the appliance most likely to exceed an existing canopy.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Chimney or duckbill burners - which do I need?
Chimney burners concentrate heat into a tight central column, which is what a round-bottomed wok needs for genuine stir-fry heat. Duckbill burners spread heat more evenly across a wider area, which suits flat-bottomed pans and stockpots. This is the chimney version; we list duckbill wok burners separately in the same Jasper range.
Q: Do I order natural gas or LPG?
Select your gas above - natural gas is JA-3CB-N-SM and LPG is JA-3CB-L-SM. They are separate SKUs rather than a setting changed on site, so confirm what is at your premises before ordering. If you are unsure, ask your gasfitter or ask us.
Q: What is the gas output in MJ/h?
Our product data does not record it, and on a three-burner unit that is a real gap - your gasfitter needs the total input to size the supply and check the meter can carry it alongside your other appliances. Contact our team for the rating before booking any work. We would rather flag the gap than publish a figure we cannot stand behind.
Q: How does it compare with the single-burner JA-1CB?
Burner count and scale. The JA-1CB is one chimney burner at 600 x 900 mm and 79 kg; this is three at 1,800 x 900 mm and 180 kg. Same burner technology, three times the stations. Choose by how many woks need to be running at once during your busiest service.
Q: Does it need extraction?
Yes, and more than most appliances. Three wok burners at full output produce very significant heat and combustion products - this is the appliance most likely to exceed the capacity of an existing canopy. Have your mechanical contractor assess it before you commit to the position.
Q: What warranty does the JA-3CB-N-SM come with?
Covered for 12 months. Our records state the duration but not whether labour is included, so confirm the exact cover with our team before ordering rather than assuming it. Terms vary by product — see our warranty information page for full details.
