Modular Systems 304 Grade Left Inlet Single Sink Dishwasher Bench

The Modular Systems SSBD7-L/A is a single-sink dishwasher inlet bench with the sink and dishwasher inlet on the LEFT as you face the bench. It carries a fully welded 450 x 450 x 300 mm bowl with a 90 mm drain, a 150 mm bevelled splashback, and a 1.2 mm SUS304 benchtop reinforced underneath with stainless U-channels and an XPS-lined panel. Three widths from 1200 mm to 1800 mm. Check the hand before ordering — a left bench will not serve a machine fed from the right.

Installation & delivery

It is supplied flat-packed with an instruction manual and tools, and is designed for quick assembly on site — which also means it comes through a standard doorway rather than needing to be manoeuvred assembled. The bowl needs a waste connection and the bench needs to meet the dishwasher at the correct height, so a plumber should set the waste and confirm the fall. Confirm the inlet hand against your dishroom layout before ordering — a left-inlet bench cannot be reversed on site. Q: What does LEFT inlet mean exactly? A: Facing the bench, the dishwasher inlet and the sink are on the left-hand side. Modular Systems also make a right-inlet version as a separate product. If you order the wrong hand the bench will not line up with your machine and it cannot be reversed on site.

Q: What size is the sink bowl? A: 450mm wide x 450mm deep x 300mm high, fully welded and polished inside and out, with a 90mm diameter drain hole.

Q: What are the splashback dimensions? A: 150mm high and 40mm thick, bevelled and fully enclosed — folded and closed at the back rather than left open, so water cannot get in behind it.

Q: How is the benchtop stopped from flexing? A: The 1.2mm SUS304 top is lined with 15mm XPS board and a stainless panel, and reinforced underneath with stainless U-channels. The number of channels increases with the bench width.

Q: Does it arrive assembled? A: No. It is supplied flat-packed with an instruction manual and tools. Benches up to 1800mm have four legs; 2100 and 2400mm benches have six.

Q: What warranty applies? A: Two years parts only. Labour is not covered, which is worth factoring in when budgeting for service on a fabricated item.
