Dishwasher Inlet Sinks & Outlet Benches

A dishwasher inlet bench and outlet bench turn a pass-through dishwasher into a working wash station. The inlet bench, with its sink, is where dirty racks are scraped, rinsed and loaded; the outlet bench is where clean racks come out to drain and be unloaded. Inlet benches

Modular Systems inlet benches have a sink for scraping and pre-rinsing, set to the dishwasher's loading height. Single-sink models, such as the SSBD7 range, come in 1200 and 1800 mm widths; the 1800 mm SSBD7-L/A has a fully welded 450 x 450 mm sink. Double-sink models, such as the DSBD7-1800, give a soak sink and a rinse sink side by side. All are built from 304 (18/8) stainless steel at 700 mm deep and 900 mm high.

Outlet benches

Outlet benches give clean racks somewhere to land, drain and cool before unloading. Modular Systems outlet benches come in left and right-hand versions to suit the flow of your wash area.

Left or right hand

Inlet and outlet benches come in left and right versions. Stand facing the dishwasher and decide which side dirty racks arrive from: that is the inlet side, and the outlet bench goes on the other. Getting this right keeps clean and dirty racks apart, which matters for hygiene.

Other wash-area items

Economic 304 stainless steel single and double sink benches suit pot-wash and prep, with left, right and centre bowls in 600 and 700 mm depths. The Modular Systems HCS-05 is a stainless steel mop and cleaning sink for back-of-house cleaning.

What to check before you order

• Dishwasher model. Match the bench height and depth to your pass-through dishwasher.
• Direction. Confirm left or right hand against your wash-area layout.
• Sink size. Check the bowl will take your largest racks and pots.
• Plumbing. Plan water, waste and a pre-rinse tap with your plumber.
