Shop our curated selection of the best commercial deep fryer solutions built for restaurants, food trucks, and serious home cooks who need consistent, crispy results every service. These heavy-duty fryers feature advanced oil filter systems, high-capacity vats, and stainless-steel construction to minimise oil waste, speed recovery time, and deliver uniform frying for high-volume kitchens.
Commercial fryers are engineered for durability and throughput: faster temperature recovery, larger oil capacity, robust controls, and safety features designed for continuous use. Whether you prefer electric or gas models, look for reliable thermostats, easy-clean components, and energy-efficient designs to lower operating costs.
A deep fryer is a kitchen appliance designed to cook food by submerging it in hot oil. It maintains a steady temperature with a built-in thermostat and heating element, ensuring even cooking and a crispy exterior while sealing in moisture.
Use oils with a high smoke point such as peanut, canola, sunflower, or refined avocado oil. These oils tolerate the high temperatures used in a deep fryer and impart neutral or mild flavors to fried foods.
Common frying temperatures range from 325°F to 375°F (160°C to 190°C). Use lower temperatures for thicker items and higher temperatures for thin, quick-frying foods to achieve a crispy exterior without overcooking the interior.
You can deep fry high-volume frozen foods, but be cautious: excess ice can cause dangerous oil splatter and a temperature drop that leads to greasy results. For best results, fry in small batches and allow oil to return to temperature between batches.
Change oil based on use and food type: typically after 8–10 uses for light frying (e.g., fries) and sooner for foods that leave residues (battered or breaded items). Also replace oil when it becomes dark, foamy, or has an off-smell.
Unplug and cool the oil, then drain and filter or discard it. Remove removable parts and wash with warm, soapy water. Wipe the interior with a soft cloth; avoid submerging electrical components. For stubborn residues, use a non-abrasive cleaner and follow manufacturer instructions.
Place the deep fryer on a stable, heat-resistant surface, keep children and pets away, never overfill with oil, dry food to reduce splatter, use the lid when possible, monitor temperature to avoid overheating, and have a class K or B fire extinguisher nearby—never use water on an oil fire.
Allow oil to cool completely, strain it through a fine mesh or cheesecloth to remove food particles, store in a clean, airtight container away from light and heat, and label with the date. Refrigerate if you plan to reuse it for an extended period.
An air fryer can produce a similar crispy texture using hot air and little to no oil, making it healthier for some dishes. However, a deep fryer still delivers distinct results for certain foods (traditional batter-fried items) that are difficult to fully replicate with an air fryer.
